CM Nitish Kumar today visited the Patliputra Sports Complex and inspected the preparations for the ‘Khelo India Youth Games 2025’ and gave necessary directions to the officials. He visited the Central Control and Command Centre, Conference Hall, Stadium and Indoor Stadium among other places. He also witnessed the practice of players and artists for the opening ceremony.
The Chief Minister also inspected the construction work of the world’s largest Madhubani painting to be displayed at the function. A Guinness World Record certificate for this painting was handed over to the Chief Minister. 50 artists of Mithila Chitrakala Sansthan, Saurath, Madhubani have prepared this painting in 50 hours. The Chief Minister also honoured Padma Shri Baua Devi for her major contribution in this project. A Guinness World Record certificate for singing ball performance by 375 Bal Lamas was also handed over.
The first-ever ‘Khelo India Youth Games 2025’ will be held in Bihar from May 4 to 15. It will be inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on May 4. About 8500 players and 1500 coaches and technical officials from 28 states and 8 union territories of the country will participate in this competition. The games will be held in Patna, Gaya, Rajgir, Bhagalpur and Begusarai.
Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister Dr. S. Siddhartha, Secretary Kumar Ravi, Officer on Special Duty Gopal Singh and Director General of Bihar State Sports Authority Ravindran Shankar along with other senior officials were present on the occasion.
