CM Nitish Kumar while expressing his reaction on the Union Budget said that the Budget is positive and welcome. This budget of the central government is progressive and future-friendly. Through this budget, the central government has taken many important steps to give further impetus to the development of the country. The announcements made for Bihar will give a new direction to the development of the state. The setting up of Makhana Board in the State to improve the production, processing, value addition and marketing of Makhana will benefit the farmers.
Facilitating greenfield airports in Bihar to meet the future requirements of the state will increase the number of international flights and accelerate the economic development of the state. Farmers will benefit by getting financial assistance for the Western Kosi Canal Project in Mithilanchal. The expansion plan of Patna IIT in the budget will give a boost to technical education. The establishment of National Institute of Food Technology, Entrepreneurship and Management in Bihar will provide new opportunities for skill development, entrepreneurship and employment to the youth, as well as boost food processing activities in Eastern India.
CM Nitish Kumar said that the middle class will get relief by getting a rebate of up to Rs 12 lakh in the income tax slab. Farmers will benefit from the increase in the loan limit on Kisan Credit Card from Rs 3 lakh to Rs 5 lakh. The increase in MSME credit guarantee cover for micro enterprises from Rs 5 crore to Rs 10 crore will increase employment opportunities. Many important steps have been taken in the interest of the poor, youth and farmers in the budget, which are welcome.
