Bihar CM Nitish Kumar with Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the airport in New Delhi. On this occasion, the Prime Minister released the 19th installment of PM Kisan Samman Nidhi, under which more than Rs 22,000 crore has been transferred to the accounts of more than 9.8 crore farmers.

During the programme, the Prime Minister inaugurated the doubling of Warisaliganj-Nawada-Tilaiya railway section, Ismailpur-Rafiganj Road Over Bridge, Centre of Excellence under Rashtriya Gokul Mission at Motihari and Milk Production Plant at Barauni. In addition, 10,000 Farmer Producer Organizations were dedicated to the nation. In his address, the Prime Minister lauded the schemes of the central government and the work being done by the NDA government in Bihar.

Welcoming the Prime Minister, CM Nitish Kumar said that it was fortunate that the amount of Kisan Samman Nidhi was released from Bihar for farmers across the country, in which more than 76 lakh farmers of the state benefited. Emphasizing on the development of the agriculture sector, he informed that several schemes have been implemented under the Agriculture Road Map, which have led to an increase in agricultural production, milk, egg, meat and fish production. Bihar has now become self-sufficient in fish production.
“Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the country is progressing. In the last budget, the state received major financial assistance for roads, industry, health, tourism and flood control, while this year announcements have been made for expansion of Makhana Board, Greenfield Airport, West Kosi Canal, National Institute of Processing and Patna IIT. He thanked the Prime Minister for the contribution of the Central Government in the progress of Bihar.

Referring to the development work done in Bihar since 2005, he said that there has been a vast improvement in the law and order, education, health, road and power situation in the state. While Bihar’s budget was Rs 28,000 crore in 2005-06, it is now more than Rs 3 lakh crore. CM Nitish Kumar recently visited all the districts of the state during the Pragati Yatra to take stock of the development works and approved more than 400 new schemes, which will cost Rs 30,000 crore.
CM Nitish Kumar reiterated his commitment to accelerate the development of Bihar and contribute to the development of the country. He appealed to the people to support the BJP in the forthcoming elections.

CM Nitish Kumar also participated in a road show along with the Prime Minister. Bihar Governor Arif Mohammad Khan, Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Panchayati Raj Minister Rajiv Ranjan Singh, Textiles Minister Giriraj Singh, Micro and Small Scale Industries Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi, Food Processing Minister Chirag Paswan, Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary, Vijay Kumar Sinha and many other dignitaries and farmers were present on the occasion.
