CM Pushkar Singh Dhami on Sunday distributed appointment letters to 144 selected candidates on various posts of the Irrigation Department and 43 eligible dependents under the deceased dependents quota in the Uttarakhand Transport Corporation. Thus, the Chief Minister distributed appointment letters to the selected candidates / dependents on a total of 187 different posts.
Congratulating the candidates, CM Pushkar Singh Dhami urged the selected candidates to work with honesty, integrity, transparency and dutifulness. He said that the state government has also given appointments to the dependents of the deceased employees which were pending for a long time. Last year, 150 dependents and today the remaining 43 eligible dependents have also been given appointment letters. He informed that with the efforts of the state government, the corporation earned a record profit of more than Rs 56 crore in 2024. The Chief Minister said that earlier there used to be huge favouritism, rigging and corruption in recruitments in the state. The state government implemented the country’s strictest anti-copying law in view of the problem of youth. Now the recruitments in the state are being ensured with complete transparency and on merit basis, thereby giving the deserving candidates the full benefit of their skills and diligence. He said that in the last three and a half years, more than 23 thousand youth of the state have been successful in getting government jobs. “The state government has adopted a zero-tolerance policy against corruption. Now no one is spared in corruption cases. He said, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has urged the countrymen to use indigenous products.
CM Pushkar also urged the people to use indigenous and local products. “Our resolve towards a self-reliant India should be even stronger. He said that Devbhoomi Uttarakhand is committed to realize the Prime Minister’s mantra of Atmanirbhar Bharat. The Chief Minister said that the selected candidates in the Irrigation Department prepare the maps and designs of irrigation projects as well as outline the future development. Irrigation schemes are constantly being expanded in our state. Today, the selected candidates are the ground pillars of irrigation projects, who with their technical skills will deliver water to the fields of the farmers. He said that among all the selected youth, many state agitators were also selected under the horizontal reservation quota. It’s a matter of happiness for everyone.
Cabinet Minister Satpal Maharaj said that under the leadership of CM Pushkar , the work of giving appointment letters to the selected youth in more than 23 thousand government jobs has been done in the state. Unemployment has increased in the state and the country. He said that with the help of the selected candidates in the irrigation department, the department will be further empowered, which will give a new impetus to development.
