In his address on the occasion, the Chief Minister, while extending Diwali greetings to all the ex-servicemen present, said that a soldier does the work of protecting the country during his service in the army and paramilitary forces, when he retires from this service, after which he starts serving the society.
\Therefore, a soldier is not an ex-serviceman, he is always a brave soldier discharging his duties in the service of the country. When he is deployed on the borders as a security guard of the army, he is protecting the country and when he comes home after retirement, he starts doing social service. Addressing the ex-servicemen and others on the occasion, the Chief Minister said that he is feeling very proud to be among them today on the auspicious occasion of Diwali. Those who have performed their duties by constantly protecting the borders of the country while being in the army, who are working for the benefit of the society in the same way today. “I come from a military family.I have got the culture there. I consider myself fortunate to have got the opportunity to go and serve the ex-servicemen.

Our brave soldiers have shown their indomitable courage in all the wars that our army has fought after the independence of the country. In the Kargil war, the Indian Army has presented the whole world as a brave army by showing indomitable courage to our brave soldiers. The Chief Minister said that the soldiers and their families face many problems. The government is working to resolve the issue. There is a feeling of patriotism in our army He said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, the Government of India took decisions like One Rank One Pension to boost the morale of the soldiers. He said that the Indian Army destroys the enemies by throwing shells instead of bullets. Today, no power in the world can stand in front of India. Today India has moved towards self-reliance in the field of defence, India is self-reliant in every field India is number one in the world in terms of digital payments. Small businesses are making digital payments. Today India has moved towards leading the world. In 2047, India will become a developed India.
The Chief Minister said that along with the country, our state is also doing many development works for the benefit of the brave soldiers and their dependents. Many development works are taking place in the state, an army dham is being built in Dehradun to honour the soldiers. The Sharda Corridor will be constructed on the lines of the Ganga Corridor in Champawat district in the near future. He said that the Prime Minister said that the third decade of the 21st century will be the decade of Uttarakhand. The state is progressing in that direction. UCC is going to be implemented as a bill in the state. The anti-copying law was implemented in the state, today 18500 government jobs have been given to the unemployed here without any problem. The task of putting more than 100 copying mafias in jail has been done by the government. Conversion law in the state was made by the government. The work of stopping land jihad, love jihad has been done by the government. “Spit Jihad will not be tolerated in any way and it will not work in the state,” he said. He said the government is committed to the welfare of the soldiers.
The Chief Minister said that a provision has been made to increase the amount of Rs 10 lakh to Rs 50 lakh to the families of the martyred soldiers of Uttarakhand. He said that this Diwali is very special because for 500 years we were waiting for Lord Rama to come to our home. Today he is sitting at his home.
The Chief Minister said that in earlier times, we used to buy weapons from abroad in large numbers, but today under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, India is becoming self-reliant and today more than 200 military equipment are being manufactured in our country. On the occasion, the Chief Minister asked the party to prepare and approve the DPR for the Military Multi-Purpose Centre on the land of the Sainik Welfare Department, to open the NCC company in Champawat soon, to select the land for the opening of the ECHS in Champawat district headquarters and to take necessary action to the District Magistrate.
