CM Pushkar Singh Dhami on Monday inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of various development projects worth about Rs 210 crore at Purola in Uttarkashi. He inaugurated 35 projects and laid the foundation stone of 20 projects. On the occasion, the Chief Minister announced upgradation of Purola playground, beautification of Karna Maharaj Temple at Deora village in Mori, beautification of Rudreshwar Mahadev Temple in Naugaon, expansion of Naugaon Community Health Centre, construction of bypass from Purola Naugaon Motorway to Mori Band via Dukana Road and declaration of Devjani Ora to Kedarkantha of Patti Gadugad in Mori as tourist area.
CM Pushkar Singh Dhami said that lakhs of people living in Purola and nearby areas of Uttarkashi district will directly benefit from the schemes launched and laid the foundation stone. These schemes will play an important role in the overall development of the region and in improving the quality of life of the citizens. These development schemes will boost economic development in the region and will also help in providing better connectivity and employment opportunities. “Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the country is progressing. He said that the state government is fulfilling the announcements made earlier under every assembly constituency with an alternative resolution. The Chief Minister said that the eleven year period under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has been dedicated to service, good governance and welfare of the poor. The Chief Minister said that it is the priority of the state government that the foundation stone of the projects is being laid. These projects should be taken up on priority. “The state government is taking strict action against the culprits. Strict laws have been implemented in the state. With this, Uttarakhand has become the first state in the country to implement the Uniform Civil Code.
“The state government has adopted a zero-tolerance policy against corruption. CM Pushkar said that the development works done in the field of education, health, drinking water, roads in Purola area will prove to be a milestone in the development of the area, which will lead to the integrated development of the region. He said that the region has immense potential in the field of tourism and horticulture. Purola MLA Durgeshwar Lal congratulated the Chief Minister on behalf of the entire region. He thanked the Chief Minister for approving the construction of Mori Jakhol Motorway and Bhumi Pujan of the hospital in the Ranwai area. He said that under the leadership of the Chief Minister, historic works like Zero Tolerance, UCC and Silkyara Tunnel Rescue have been done.
