CM Pushkar Dhami released the book authored by Major General G.D. Bakshi (Retd) at Tons Bridge School, Dehradun on Tuesday. He released a book and a magazine. On this occasion, the Chief Minister paid tributes to those who lost their lives in the Almora bus accident and expressed his condolences to their families.
The Chief Minister said that this book of Major General G. D. Bakshi (retd) would definitely prove beneficial for the readers. G. D. Bakshi is a military officer as well as a great nationalist and a knowledgeable and thinker of various subjects. In addition to his expertise in strategic matters, he achieved many distinctions in the army. The Chief Minister said. The book is an excellent attempt to present history, civilization and cultural heritage in a new perspective. The book is a comprehensive and inclusive account of the cultural traditions, manifestations and heritage of our great religion. The book describes how our civilization has worked to give direction to the whole world through knowledge, science, philosophy and modernity.
The book mentions traditions such as martial arts, Vedic philosophy, yoga and introduces them to the younger generation. “Sanatan culture is the oldest culture in the world. There are many aspects in our religion that make us the most different and the best.
The Chief Minister said that our sages composed such great texts which are relevant due to our depth, comprehensiveness and scientificity. The book also mentions the Indian military resurgence. The book also mentions the anti-national forces that worked to divide our society after independence. The Chief Minister said that today India has a strong government under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. Many important decisions have been taken by the Modi government. The honour and respect for India has increased in the world. Today, the whole world waits for India’s stand on every major issue.
The Chief Minister said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, work is being done to beautify the religious and cultural heritage of the country. As a result, Ram Mandir is being constructed at Ayodhya. Triple talaq has ended in the country. Many decisions have been taken like the decision of surgical strike on the enemy country, removal of Article 370 from Kashmir and implementation of CAA. “The UCC bill has been passed in the state and will be implemented very soon. Recently, the Cabinet also decided to set up a Centre for Hindu Studies at Doon University. The Chief Minister urged the youth to contribute in making drug-free Uttarakhand by keeping away from drugs. “People should be made aware of this,” he said. Major General G. D.
