CM Pushkar Singh Dhami, while holding a meeting in the Secretariat, instructed the officials that the displacement process should be done soon to start the work on Saung Dam drinking water project, As soon as possible, land should be made available to the affected families who are to be displaced, based on their consent. The families who will be displacedAll basic facilities should be made available for them. If necessary, construction of community building, temple, roads and any other construction should be done on the basis of consent after talking to the affected families.
The Chief Minister also gave instructions to speed up the work on Jamrani Dam project. Song Dam drinking water project provides 150 MLD water per day to about 11 lakh population of Dehradun city. Drinking water will be supplied. Due to which the ground water level will also improve. About 15 thousand population of 10 villages located downstream of the dam will also be protected from floods.
