CM Pushkar Singh Dhami approves ₹163 crore for Uttarakhand development projects, strengthening roads, housing, drinking water, religious sites, and administrative infrastructure across the state
Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has announced a major development boost for the people of Uttarakhand, approving approximately ₹163 crore for various infrastructure projects across the state. The funding aims to strengthen roads, drinking water facilities, housing, religious sites, and administrative infrastructure, improving overall public convenience and safety.
Major Road and Transportation Projects
In the Dhanolti constituency of Tehri Garhwal, the Laluri Ghiakoti-Kyarda motor route has been sanctioned nearly ₹4.16 crore for reconstruction and repair works. Similarly, in Champawat, Ranakuchi Temple will receive around ₹4.57 crore to support religious infrastructure development. Additionally, road upgrades in Pauri Garhwal, including the Damdeval-Gadri and Chalkudiya-Masmoli-Sakloni-Naukholi motor routes, have been approved with ₹3.39 crore and ₹3.45 crore respectively, enhancing connectivity and safety for local residents and pilgrims.

Drinking Water and Housing Projects
Dehradun’s Police Lines Racecourse will benefit from a new water supply scheme, including pipelines and storage tanks, funded at ₹5 crore. Housing projects for police personnel are also prioritized: 120 Type-2 residential units in Dehradun’s IRB Second Battalion will receive ₹54 crore, while 120 Type-2 units at the Police Lines Racecourse have been allocated ₹51 crore. The Public Service Commission campus will see a multi-storey building, including Type-3 and Type-4 units, funded at ₹19 crore. Raj Bhavan, Dehradun, will also get new multi-purpose buildings with a budget of ₹13.73 crore.
Religious and Pilgrimage Development
In Rudraprayag, the Kedarnath pilgrimage trail will undergo restoration and maintenance, including wall repairs, railing replacements, and debris removal, with ₹5.22 crore sanctioned for these improvements. These initiatives aim to ensure the safety and convenience of pilgrims while preserving Uttarakhand’s religious heritage.
Government Focus on Local Development
Pushkar Singh Dhami emphasized that these approvals reflect the state government’s ongoing commitment to improving infrastructure, enhancing connectivity to key religious sites, and providing better housing and amenities for government employees. The projects are expected to significantly strengthen Uttarakhand’s road networks, water supply systems, residential facilities, and administrative infrastructure, ensuring holistic development across the state.
