CM Pushkar Singh Dhami directs to start Rispana and Bindal corridor work soon
CM Pushkar Singh Dhami, in a meeting of the Dehradun Elevated Corridor held at the Secretariat on Monday, directed the officials that the work of Rispana and Bindal corridors should be started soon. He stressed the need to expedite the construction works and work on a well-planned plan for other cities of the state as well.
CM Pushkar Singh Dhami directed to seek cooperation from the Central Government to connect the Dehradun elevated corridor with the expressway and start the work from the state sector at the earliest. He said the project needs to be prioritised keeping in mind the growing population in Dehradun, the number of vehicles and the traffic growth expected from the construction of the Delhi-Dehradun Expressway.
The four-lane elevated corridor will be 11 km long on Rispana river and 15 km long on Bindal river. Under these projects, power lines, high tension lines and sewer lines will be shifted out of the river, along with flood protection and retaining wall construction. The Chief Minister directed all the concerned departments to work in coordination and said that the impact of all the development projects should be clearly visible on the ground.
Apart from this, he directed to start preparations for the upcoming Nanda Rajjat Yatra and regularly review other important projects including UIIDB, Garhwal-Kumaon Connectivity, Manaskhand Mandir Mala Mission.
