CM launches 13 Adarsh Sanskrit Grams in 13 districts of the state CM Pushkar Singh Dhami launched 13 Adarsh Sanskrit Grams in 13 districts of the state while participating in a programme held at R.P.Vidyalaya, Bhogpur, Dehradun on Sunday. Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister said that the State Government would also establish Government Primary Sanskrit Schools along with construction of Sanskrit Bhavans in all these Adarsh Sanskrit Grams in future.
CM Pushkar Singh Dhami inaugurated Bhogpur village in Dehradun, Mukhim village in Tehri Garhwal, Kotgaon in Uttarkashi, Banji village in Rudraprayag, Dimmar village in Chamoli, Goda village in Pauri Garhwal, Urg village in Pithoragarh, Jainti Pandekota village in Almora, Sheri village in Bageshwar, Kharkarkarkari village in Champawat, Nurpur Panjanhedi village in Haridwar, Pandey village in Nainital and Nagla Terai village in Udham Singh Nagar as model Sanskrit villages. During this, the Chief Minister also interacted with the people of different cultural villages through virtual medium.
Expressing grief over the disaster in Uttarkashi and Pauri, the Chief Minister said that the state government will carry out rehabilitation works in the disaster-affected areas with full sensitivity and speed. He said that the State Government is working to take Devvani Sanskrit to the masses by establishing Adarsh Sanskrit Grams in every district of Uttarakhand. Devbhoomi Uttarakhand has been a centre of study and research of Devvani Sanskrit for centuries. It is the endeavour of the State Government to keep the sacred flame of Devvani Sanskrit burning bright in Uttarakhand.
“Uttarakhand is the first state. Which is working on the preservation and promotion of Devvani Sanskrit through such initiatives. Sanskrit language is the basic foundation of our culture, tradition, knowledge and science. The development of ancient human civilizations has been possible only on the basis of Sanskrit language. The Vedas, Puranas, Upanishads and the Vedas were written in Sanskrit. The Sanskrit language is eternal.
CM Pushkar Singh Dhami said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, work is being done to preserve and promote India’s cultural heritage. In the New Education Policy, special efforts have been made to establish Sanskrit as a modern and practical language. Sanskrit universities are being connected with modern resources. Sanskrit literature is being developed as an online platform, eSanskrit learning platform and Sanskrit apps.
The central government has also started translating the proceedings of the Lok Sabha into Sanskrit language. CM Pushkar Singh Dhami said that in ideal Sanskrit villages, people will use Sanskrit in their daily life so that Devvani can again become a part of speech, behavior and communication in our lives. The state government is providing special scholarships to promote Sanskrit education in the schools of the state. Students who have excelled in Sanskrit language are being awarded under the Sanskrit Chatra Pratibha Samman Yojana. Various programs like All India Research Conference, All India Astrology Conference, All India Veda Conference are being organized through Uttarakhand Sanskrit Academy, Haridwar for the propagation of Sanskrit.
“The state government has taken several historic decisions. The first Uniform Civil Code in the country has been implemented in our state. After the implementation of the anti-copying law, more than 23 thousand youth have got government jobs. The cultural values and demography of Uttarakhand are also being preserved. Strict action is being taken against the hypocrites who defamed Sanatan Dharma through Operation Kalnemi in the State. Cabinet Minister Dr. Dhan Singh Rawat said that Sanskrit language is our historical heritage. Uttarakhand is the first state in India to declare Sanskrit as its second official language.
He said the shortage of teachers will be addressed with the launch of NCC, N.S.S in Sanskrit schools from next year. The Cabinet Minister also thanked CM Pushkar Singh Dhami for giving Rs 75 crore in the past for the infrastructure development of the Sanskrit University. He said that further work will be done for the propagation of Sanskrit language in 13 Sanskrit villages.
