He prayed for peace, progress and prosperity in the state.CM Pushkar Singh Dhami said that a smart control room and CCTV surveillance system should be set up in Thuligad for crowd and disaster management in the entire Purnagiri Mela area. A multi-purpose administrative building will be constructed at Selagarh for the Purnagiri fair (which will facilitate the fair magistrate, fair officer and police as well as doctors to work together at one place). He announced construction of Purnagiri Pumping Drinking Water Scheme at Ladigad in Purnagiri area and Thuligad, Babaligad Pumping Project in Purnagiri area. He said that through these announcements, the journey of development in the region will be furthered. Describing the land of Uttarakhand as the land of gods and goddesses, the Chief Minister said that divinity is embedded in the fabric of the state. He said that Maa Purnagiri Dham is the major spiritual place of Uttarakhand. He said that he always urges others to visit Maa Purnagiri for religious pilgrimage. After the Kumbh and Kanwar Yatra, the highest number of devotees come to the shrine of Maa Purnagiri. He said that the State Government is committed to conduct the fair throughout the year. For which permanent infrastructure is being developed in Purnagiri Dham.

In the coming years, this place will take a more grand and well-organized form, which will provide better facilities to the devotees. Urging the devotees to visit other religious places of Champawat, the Chief Minister said that along with having true reverence for God, we should also experience the spiritual experience of the journey. The State Government is making continuous efforts for the development of Maa Purnagiri Dham and will develop it as a huge spiritual and tourist centre in the times to come. Multi-level parking has been approved at Champawat from 11 to 13, which will facilitate traffic management. ISBT is being developed at Tanakpur at a cost of over Rs 200 crore. Under the Manasakhand Temple Mala Mission, major temples in Kumaon will be beautified and their routes will be paved, which will provide more convenience to the devotees. The Chief Minister said that special works are being carried out to strengthen the communication system in Purnagiri area. Ropeway construction work is also going on at Maa Purnagiri Dham, which will provide a smooth travel experience to the passengers. He said that a special tourist circuit is being developed by connecting all the major religious and tourist places located around the Purnagiri Dham. The state government is paying special attention to better road connectivity, communication system, tourist facilities and infrastructure development in the district to make this circuit a success.

The objective of this initiative is to make the visit to Maa Purnagiri Dham more convenient and to give a new dimension to tourism in Champawat district. The construction of which will attract devotees and tourists throughout the year. The Chief Minister said that this circuit will be an important step towards establishing Uttarakhand as a new global hub of religious and tourism. The government is working on it and it will be implemented soon. He said that work is being done to make Champawat a developed and leading district in every field. A lot of work is being done in the field of connectivity and education. The campus of Soban Singh Jeena University has started functioning in Champawat. All schools and colleges in the district have been closed. The Chief Minister said that a Science Centre is being constructed at Champawat at a cost of Rs 55 crore. All students will get inspiration for knowledge, science, technology and innovation. The work of Women Sports College in Champawat is in progress. The new building has been constructed at a cost of Rs 16 crore. A 50-bed critical care block is being constructed at the district hospital at a cost of Rs 20 crore and a 50-bed AYUSH hospital at Tanakpur at a cost of Rs 15 crore.

The construction of the building of the Integrated Nursing Institute has been completed at a cost of Rs 28 crore. The Chief Minister said that the state government is doing concrete work to promote tourism and increase employment opportunities through its policies and decisions, besides strengthening the infrastructure in Champawat. He said that in the coming 25 years, many times more devotees will reach Maa Purnagiri Dham than today. Keeping that time in mind, infrastructure is being developed from all. The Chief Minister said that Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has pledged for a developed India by 2047. The National Games competitions in Tanakpur will definitely give wings to rafting. People from all over the country and world come here for trekking. A sum of Rs 5 crore has been sanctioned for the development of Shyamlal Lake, he said. Work is also being done to develop this area as a wedding destination.
