CM Pushkar Singh Dhami participated as the Chief Guest in the Youth Workers Conference and Closing Ceremony of the Golden Seventy Years of the Union organised by the Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangh Uttarakhand at the Rishikul Ayurvedic College Auditorium on Sunday. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that a big centre should be built in such a big institute of Rishikul. He said that tourism, spirituality, education, Ayurveda, astrology should become a centre of meditation. For this, he announced that Madan Mohan Malviya State Research Institute would be established in this school, in which many disciplines such as yoga, meditation and spirituality would be studied.
This will also help boost tourism. Speaking on the occasion, CM Pushkar Singh Dhami said that today the Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangh is organised in an expanded form. On 23rd July 2025, this organisation is completing 70 years of its establishment. He said that in the journey of seven decades, the organisation which took the pledge of austerity and nation building and adopted the Swadeshi ideology, keeping in mind the interests of the workers and in building a nation with Indian culture, the labour organisation has made a valuable contribution.
He said that the organisation paved the way from Shram Yogi to Rashtra Yogi. After the independence of the country, there was a shortage of resources in the country but the work done by our workers in nation building is incredible. There is no dearth of resources in the country today. He said that 7 decades ago, the indigenous ideology used to be zero on the movements run by the workers in the country due to being influenced by foreign ideology. At that time, there used to be a situation when slogans of Vande Mataram and Bharat Mata Ki Jai used to be raised in agitations. The organisation is working for the welfare of the workers. The organisation has given a new ideology to the workers, students and youth of the country. Today, our government is working under many schemes keeping in mind the interests of the workers and the benefits of these schemes are reaching the last person of the country. Crores of workers have been registered on the labour portal run by the government. Our government is facilitating ESI, EFO, insurance in the interest of workers. He said that under the leadership of the Prime Minister, Sabka Saath is doing the welfare of the workers with the basic mantra of Sabka Vikas. Many schemes have been implemented for the benefit of labour brothers, providing good education, health and mobile facilities to their children, providing higher technical education to their 75 meritorious children in Rudrapur Technical Institute for higher education, providing them education, accommodation, food completely free of cost, so that they can build their future without any financial constraint. He said that workers are not only the seekers of labour but also the path makers of nation building.
He said that the youth have a special role to play in the resolution of a developed India in 2047. He said India is the youngest country in the world, with 65 per cent of its population below 35 years of age. He said that if this energy is channelised in the right direction, gets the right guidance, then soon our country can emerge as a superpower. He said that for the first time, the Prime Minister has created a department for Skill India. This campaign is also playing an important role in the self-reliant India campaign along with connecting the youth with employment. He said that under the leadership of the Prime Minister, many works are being done in the direction of reviving our cultural heritage.
He said that under the leadership of the Prime Minister, we are moving towards becoming a developed and self-reliant nation with the resolve of a strong and prosperous nation. For the first time after independence, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, following the mantra of JK Shramev Jayate, is working on a large scale for the welfare of workers. He said that many eighty schemes are being brought, due to which our labour brothers working at the last end of the society, their upliftment, welfare, their progress in every way, they should also join the mainstream of development. He said that 29 old and complex labour laws of the country have been subsumed in four comprehensive labour codes with an aim to simplify them. Crores of workers in the unorganised sector have also been linked to the formal economy by registering them through the Eshram portal. Through which the rights of crores of workers have been ensured. One thousand rupees pension is also being arranged for the workers of the unorganised sector under the Shram Yogi Maandhan Yojana.
CM Pushkar Singh Dhami said that under the guidance of the Prime Minister, the State Government is also working committedly for the welfare of the workers imbibing the basic mantra of Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas and Sabka Prayas. Schemes like housing scheme, social security card, health insurance are being run for the workers. The government is ensuring that the workers do not have to be neglected at any level, do not have to suffer anywhere. He said that through the Uttarakhand Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board, many schemes have been implemented for the workers. The Chief Minister said that under the guidance of the Hon’ble Prime Minister, the Skill Development Department has been established in the year 2015, many works are being done in the field of cultural heritage, be it the construction work of the grand temple at the birthplace of Lord Ramchandra, the construction work of the corridor of Baba Vishwanath, the work of the master plan of Badrinath Dham and the reconstruction work of Shri Kedarnath after the terrible disaster in Shri Kedarnath in 2013. Today, there has been an unimaginable increase in the number of devotees and tourists coming from all over the country and abroad in the Uttarakhand Char Dham Yatra, in this year’s Char Dham Yatra so far, more than 12 lakh pilgrims have reached Kedarnath Dham in one month and 21 days, while the figure has crossed more than 33 lakh in the Char Dham. “All our places are progressing fast.
