CM Pushkar Singh Singh Dhami participated in the 63rd Koti Linga Rudra Mahayagya held at Shiv Mandir Shankarpur Sahaspur. He said that yagnas have special significance in Sanatan culture, which has been considered as the foundation stone of Dharma in Vedas. Yagnas not only pave the way for spiritual upliftment but also contribute to social, cultural and moral prosperity. The Chief Minister described this Mahayagya as a symbol of divinity and grandeur of Sanatan traditions.
In this week-long Mahayagya, Lord Shiva will be anointed with the collective chanting of Vedic hymns by 151 learned Vedapathis Brahmins, which will infuse spiritual energy in the entire region. He said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, Sanatan culture is getting global recognition and the government is making continuous efforts to preserve and promote the cultural heritage of Uttarakhand.
CM Pushkar Singh informed that the work of revival of Yamuna Tirtha Sthal at Haripur Kalsi is being done expeditiously. To promote religious tourism, Shri Krishna Yamuna Teerth Circuit will be constructed, which will include construction of various ghats on Yamuna Ji. After these ghats are built, grand aartis will be organised here like in Haridwar, Rishikesh and Devprayag, which will develop this place as an important spiritual centre.
CM Pushkar Singh conveyed his best wishes for the successful conduct of this grand Koti Rudra Mahayagya and prayed to Lord Shiva for happiness, peace and prosperity of all the residents of the state. On this occasion, MLA Najar Singh Manshahia, DC Mohinderpal, SDM Sagar Setia, Chairman Zila Parishad Bikram Mofar, Chairman Market Committee Gian Chand Singla, Kulwant Rai Singla, Ranjit Kaur Bhatti and Chairman Block Samiti Karamjit Kaur were also present.
