CM Pushkar Singh Dhami participated in the cleanliness program at Race Course on the eve of Statehood Day and gave the message of cleanliness by applying broom. On the occasion, the Chief Minister also launched QR scanners for street light complaints under Dehradun Municipal Corporation. This scanner will be installed on the pillars of the street lights installed under the Dehradun Municipal Corporation. Any person can register a complaint by scanning the street light if it is damaged.

The Chief Minister said that cleanliness and service programmes were being organized across the state today in memory of those who lost their lives in the bus accident at Marchula in Almora. Chief Minister prayed the almighty to give peace to the departed soul and speedy recovery to the injured. The Chief Minister said that as a result of the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan launched by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi 10 years ago, the awareness about cleanliness has increased across the country. The Prime Minister’s vision of a clean and healthy India is being realised.

The Chief Minister said that Devbhoomi Uttarakhand is an important state from the point of view of tourism and pilgrimage. He called upon all the people of the state to cooperate with the government in keeping Devbhoomi Uttarakhand clean by making cleanliness their regular routine. The Chief Minister said that the state of Uttarakhand is entering the silver jubilee year. In these 24 years, the state has progressed rapidly in every field with the help of our godly people. To make this decade the decade of Uttarakhand, the state government is working on short-term, short-term and long-term plans in every sector with public participation.

The Chief Minister said that today Uttarakhand is in the category of leading states of the country in many areas. Uttarakhand has been ranked first in the country in the Sustainable Development Goals ranking released by NITI Aayog. The state has received the category of Achievers in Ease of Doing Business and Leaders in Startups. GSDP has increased by 33 per cent. Uttarakhand has also become a leading state in providing employment to the youth. The unemployment rate has been reduced by 4.4 percent in one year. Urban Development Minister Sarveen Chaudhary, MLA Vishal Nehariya, Mayor Municipal Corporation Dharamshala Divender, Deputy Commissioner, Kangra Rakesh Prajapati, Commissioner Municipal Corporation Pradeep Thakur, SP Vimukt Ranjan were present on the occasion among others.
