CM Pushkar Singh Dhami reached Haridwar on Sunday and inaugurated the ‘Vatsalya Ganga Ashraya’ and received blessings from saints and seers while participating in the Shri Krishna Katha. On this occasion, he prayed for the prosperity and well-being of the people of the state.
Appreciating the schemes run by Sadhvi Ritambhara, the Chief Minister said that she is doing a great work of giving a new life to destitute daughters, which is a symbol of compassion, hope and reconstruction in the society. Her efforts have positively changed the lives of many daughters, setting an inspiring example of social service.
The Chief Minister said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, extensive development works are being carried out in Uttarakhand. Referring to the Uniform Civil Code (UCC), he said that just as Maa Ganga gives life to the entire country by emanating from Uttarakhand, UCC has also started from Uttarakhand and it will benefit the entire country. “The festival of religious awakening is going on in the entire country under the leadership of Modi ji.
The Chief Minister informed that under the guidance of the Prime Minister, the grand construction work of Kedarnath Dham has been completed, while work on Haridwar-Rishikesh Ganga Corridor and Sharda Corridor is also underway. He informed that so far this year, about 18 lakh devotees have visited the Chardham Yatra and the yatra is going on successfully.
The Chief Minister also said that the Delhi-Dehradun elevated road is almost ready and on its completion, the journey will be covered in just two to two and a half hours. He reiterated that the Uttarakhand Government is fully dedicated to protect and promote Sanatan culture and to preserve the original identity of the State, strong steps are being taken against mindsets like Love Jihad, Land Jihad and Spit Jihad.
Speaking on the occasion, Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta said that the work of Chief Minister Dhami is a source of inspiration not only for Uttarakhand but also for Delhi. He also said that the good schemes being implemented by Dhami will also be adopted in Delhi. He repeated the pledge of cleanliness of Maa Yamuna at the feet of Maa Ganga.
