Farmers to take advantage of Vikas Krishi Sankalp Abhiyan Chief Minister launches “Vikas Krishi Sankalp Abhiyan” to go from village to village by 12th June Agriculture scientists and officials to interact with farmers in 95 blocks, 670 nyay panchayats and 11440 villages during the campaign, says CM Pushkar Singh Dhami while launching “Vikas Krishi Sankalp Abhiyan” in Uttarakhand. CM Pushkar Singh Dhami said that under the campaign, communication will be established with 1.5 crore farmers by more than 2000 scientific teams in more than 700 districts across the country from May 29 to June 12. For this campaign, three teams have been formed in every district of the state, which will hold programs at three places every day, in each such program, more than 600 farmers will be interacted with. The Chief Minister said that through the “Vikas Krishi Sankalp Abhiyan,” farmers will be given information about advanced agricultural techniques according to their land, climate and need, as well as trained to select beneficial crops on the basis of soil testing. Information on schemes like agriculture, animal husbandry, horticulture will also be made available. Through the campaign, the experiences, traditional knowledge, innovations and suggestions of the farmers will also be compiled, which will make scientific researches more practical in the future. The Chief Minister said that this campaign will prove to be a milestone in the direction of taking the agriculture sector of our state to new heights through modernity and innovation, as well as empowering and enriching our annadatas.
The Chief Minister said that under the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, today India is rapidly moving towards realising the resolve of ‘Developed Nation’. Continuous efforts are being made by the Central Government to double the income of our farmers. On the one hand, 11 crore farmers across the country are being provided financial assistance through the “Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana.” At the same time, continuous increase in the income of farmers is being ensured by increasing the minimum support price on all major crops. At the same time, efforts are also being made to benefit the farmers through many schemes like Crop Insurance Scheme, Kisan Maandhan Yojana, Soil Health Card, Horticulture Development Mission, Agricultural Machinery Subsidy, Drip Irrigation Scheme, Digital Agriculture Mission. The Chief Minister said that the state government is providing interest-free loans up to Rs three lakh to the farmers of the state. In order to provide agricultural equipment to the farmers, a subsidy of up to 80 percent is being given for the purchase of agricultural equipment through the “Farm Machinery Bank” scheme. Farmers will be given Rs. 20 per quintal. The state government has also increased the price of sugarcane by Rs 20 per quintal. Irrigation from the canal has been made absolutely free for farmers.
The Chief Minister said that tea gardens Dhauladevi, Munsiyari and Betalghat are being converted into organic tea gardens. Similarly, 6 Aroma Valleys are being developed in the State. A provision of Rs 200 crore has been made in this year’s budget. The “Uttarakhand Climate Responsive Rainfed Farming Project” has also been approved at a cost of about Rs 1,000 crore to promote rainfed farming in hilly areas. Recently, the state government has implemented many important schemes like New Apple Policy, Kiwi Policy, ‘State Millet Mission’ and ‘Dragon Fruit Policy’ at a cost of Rs 1200 crore. On the occasion, the Chief Minister announced that RCC wall, check dam and cut-off wall would be constructed at two places in the low-lying area of Guniyalgaon to beautify and beautify the community hall at Guniyal village and to prevent the falling water level of Song river.
On the occasion, the Chief Minister also inspected various stalls. Agriculture Minister Shri Ganesh Joshi said that the ‘Vikas Bharat Sankalp Abhiyan’ is an important step towards fulfilling Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s goal of a developed India by 2047. The presence of prestigious agricultural institutions like Pantnagar, Bharsar and Almora in Uttarakhand will make this campaign even more effective. He said that the Government of India under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi has approved an increase in the Minimum Support Price (MSP) of Kharif crops from 50 to 60 percent for the 202526 marketing season. He also thanked Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami and Union Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar. “Crores of farmers across the country will benefit from this,” he said.
