CM Pushkar Singh : Competitions will be held in all districts of the state. This will provide a platform to the players as well as an opportunity to the new talent to perform at their best. The growing e-culture (electronic culture) among the youth should be converted into piculture (playground culture). This was stated by the CM Pushkar Singh Dhami while taking a review meeting of the game changer schemes of the Youth Welfare Department at the Secretariat on Thursday.
CM Pushkar Singh said that the youth should be associated with sports at the local level. For the physical and mental development of the youth, they should be given training in adventure sports activities, pre-recruitment training in the army, paramilitary and police forces. For their better future, counselling centres should be set up to guide them on education, employment and other aspects. Regular awareness programmes should be conducted to prevent drug addiction among the youth.
CM Pushkar Singh said that all the sports assets of the department should be put to optimum use and their maintenance should be given special attention. Along with sports activities, local cultural activities were also held in all the multipurpose halls of the state. He directed to provide maximum facilities to the players with good training. The Chief Secretary was also directed to regularly review the game changer schemes. The CS will review at his own level the action plan made to improve the ongoing schemes. With this, the schemes will be implemented on the ground in a better way and the eligible people will get maximum benefit.
