Under the Mukhyamantri Antyodaya Free Gas Refill Scheme, money will be given to the beneficiaries through DBT for refilling the cylinders. The food department will make arrangements so that this money can be used by the beneficiary only for filling the cylinder. 1 lakh 84 thousand Antyodaya card holder families in the state are associated with this scheme, about 10 lakh people of the state are taking advantage of the scheme. CM Pushkar Singh Dhami, during a review of the Food Department at the Secretariat on Thursday, directed the officials to ensure that the benefits of this scheme reach 100 per cent Antyodaya cardholders.
Uttarakhand is the first state in the country to implement the Mukhyamantri Antyodaya Free Gas Refill Scheme. CM Pushkar Singh Dhami directed in the meeting that the data of all the beneficiaries registered under the National Food Security Act should be updated. Senior citizens and other eligible people should not be deprived of ration due to biometric difficulties, in all such cases, ration distribution should be ensured through offline authentication or alternative system. Safe and secure storage arrangements should be ensured by reviewing the present storage capacity and physical condition of the godowns.
He said that the One Nation One Ration Card scheme should be implemented effectively so that there is no hindrance in getting ration from any place. CM Pushkar Singh Dhami directed the officials to ensure monitoring of real-time transaction data on the e-supply portal. Aadhaar seeding and mobile OTP based delivery system should be strengthened. The fake ration card should be identified and action should be taken against the concerned. Dealers and officials indulging in negligence or irregularities should be suspended immediately.
Full ration should be provided to all cardholders on time every month. A solid system of prestocking should be ensured in remote and hilly areas. The status of state warehouses should be reviewed and modernized and expanded as per the need. Buffer stock plan should be prepared for every district. Ensure timely supply of foodgrains to mid-day meal and anganwadi centres. Timely redressal of complaints received on Food Grievance Redressal System should be ensured.
