Over 2.5 lakh students have shared development ideas on Uttarakhand’s CM Vidyarthi Manthan Portal, with 140 best ideas set for recognition.
Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami’s initiative ‘Mere Sapnon Ka Uttarakhand’ is receiving strong participation from students across the state. More than 2.50 lakh students have already submitted their ideas, suggestions and essays on the CM Vidyarthi Manthan Portal regarding the future development of Uttarakhand.
The initiative aims to give young people a direct opportunity to contribute to the state’s development vision rather than limiting them to the role of beneficiaries of government schemes.
Over 2.50 Lakh Students Have Shared Their Ideas
The CM Vidyarthi Manthan Portal has emerged as a digital platform where students from government and private schools can put forward their views on Uttarakhand’s future.
Students are being encouraged to share ideas across eight key areas, including tourism, employment, education, healthcare, environment and technology. The deadline for submitting ideas and essays has been fixed for August 24.
The large response from students highlights the growing interest among young people in issues related to the state’s development.
Initiative Followed Online Interaction With Students
On August 10, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami interacted online with nearly three lakh students studying in Classes 11 and 12 across Uttarakhand.
During the interaction, he encouraged students to think about how the state could develop in the coming years and to present their vision for a better Uttarakhand.
The CM Vidyarthi Manthan Portal was subsequently introduced to bring these ideas together on a common digital platform.
Best 140 Ideas to Get Special Recognition
According to the initiative, the exercise is intended to go beyond a conventional essay competition. The objective is to identify practical and innovative ideas that could contribute to the long-term development vision of Uttarakhand.
As part of the programme, 140 students with the best and most practical ideas will be selected. These students will get an opportunity to discuss their vision directly with senior government officials and Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami.
This interaction could give students valuable exposure to the policy-making process and allow them to explain their ideas directly to decision-makers.
Scholarships and Digital Certificates for Students
The government has also announced support for outstanding participants. Students who perform well will be eligible for scholarships aimed at competitive examination preparation and career development.
In addition, students submitting their suggestions through the CM Vidyarthi Manthan Portal are receiving digital certificates acknowledging their participation.
