CM Vishnu Deo Sai: Mahtari Vandan Yojana attains its aim of empowerment, brings smile on faces of our mothers and sisters
CM Vishnu Deo Sai : On his one day-visit to Kondagaon district for the inauguration and foundation stone laying ceremony of development works in Kondagaon district on Monday, CM Vishnu Deo Sai made several significant announcements and launched development works worth Rs 2.88 billion.
“Our government has completed one year and during this one year, as per the guarantee given by our visionary Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, we have fulfilled the promises related to every section. Every month amount of Mahtari Vandan Yojana is being transferred to the accounts of mothers and sisters. Every first day of the month continues to brings smile on their faces,” said CM Vishnu Deo Sai
CM Vishnu Deo Sai said that we are providing the benefit of Mahtari Vandan Yojana to about 70 lakh women across the state. In one year, our government has taken many important decisions for the development of Kondagaon district and implemented them rapidly. In this series, today we have inaugurated and performed Bhoomi Pujan of 168 works worth Rs 288 crore. These works include inauguration of 130 works worth Rs 208 crore and Bhoomi Pujan of 38 works worth Rs 80 crore. Along with this, on this occasion, we are also distributing cheques and materials for beneficiary-oriented works worth Rs 58 lakh. In this, around 1.28 lakh mothers and sisters of Kondagaon district are getting the benefit of the scheme. Mothers and sisters are using this scheme very efficiently.
CM Vishnu Deo Sai said that with the advent of Mahtari Vandan Yojana, which is popular among women in Chhattisgarh, 5 lakh women have started monthly savings accounts in the post office. These are only the figures of the post office. Some mothers and sisters are depositing their money in the bank. Some are investing in the education of their children. At the same time, they are also fulfilling their dreams. This is a scheme for economic independence of women. Giving economic strength to women leads to rapid development of society.
CM Vishnu Deo Sai said that due to the agriculture-friendly policies of our government, farmers have returned to farming again. This time more than 27 lakh farmer brothers have registered to sell paddy. Last year this figure was 24.75 lakh. So far, more than 40,000 farmer brothers have sold their paddy in Kondagaon district and till now we have paid Rs 552 crore. We approved 18 lakh Pradhan Mantri Awas in the very first cabinet meeting. The dream of a house of lakhs of people has been fulfilled.
CM Vishnu Deo Sai said that we are developing Kondagaon district with full commitment. Two months ago when I came to Jagdalpur for the meeting of Bastar Development Authority, the public representatives of the area demanded the renovation of the road in Keshkal valley. It was renovated within two months. Earlier Keshkal had become a valley of dust, now it has again become a valley of flowers. The Chief Minister said that Kondagaon district is famous all over the world for its craftsmanship. More than 1300 craftsmen create their unique artworks here. Modern technology is necessary to connect these artworks to the global market. For this, the district administration has signed an MoU with IIT Bhilai to connect them with 3-D printing technology. The district administration is providing free coaching facilities for the preparation of competitive examinations like UPSC, PSC and Vyapam. This is a very good initiative. Chief Minister Shri Sai said that our Kondagaon’s daughter Kumari Hembati Nag was awarded the National Child Award 2024 by President Smt. Draupadi Murmu for her excellent performance in Judo sports, which is a matter of pride for all of us.
CM Vishnu Deo Sai visited the departmental exhibition organized by various departments of the district administration at the main event venue. Apart from this, the Chief Minister distributed materials, equipment and cheques under various beneficiary-oriented schemes. Under the National Livelihood Mission of the program, Lakhpati Didis were awarded and bank linkage cheques were provided to the beneficiaries. Bamboo craft tools were distributed to the craftsmen under the National Bamboo Mission Scheme at the stall of the Handicrafts Department. Community Forest Rights Certificate was provided to Gram Panchayat Bade Rajpur.
On this occasion, Industry In-charge Minister Shri Lakhanlal Dewangan, Forest Minister Shri Kedar Kashyap, Bastar MP Shri Mahesh Kashyap, Kanker MP Shri Bhojraj Nag, MLA Jagdalpur Shri Kiran Dev, Keshkal MLA Shri Neelkanth Tekam along with senior public representatives of the district, district administration officials and a large number of villagers were present
