CM Vishnu Deo Sai has lauded the glorious history of the Agharia community, whose roots are deeply intertwined with the ancient fabric of Indian civilization. He urged the Agharia Samaj to contribute wholeheartedly towards building a developed Chhattisgarh.
Chief Minister Shri Sai attended the annual fellowship conference of the Agharia Samaj Seva Samiti held today at Bhatagaon in the state capital Raipur, where he graced the event as the Chief Guest and addressed the gathering. On this occasion, representatives of the Agharia community accorded him a warm welcome by ceremoniously presenting a garland.
Fondly remembering his late friend and associate from the Agharia community, Shri Vishnu Patel, Chief Minister Sai expressed his personal affinity with the Agharia Samaj. He stated that through his long social engagements, he had closely witnessed and appreciated the hard work, dedication, and commitment of the Agharia community. The Chief Minister noted that the industrious Agharia community has achieved significant accomplishments not only in agriculture, their traditional vocation, but also in several other fields. He said that there is much to be learned from their contributions to the agricultural sector. Today, the progressive Agharia community is playing an active role in the nation’s development across various domains.
CM Vishnu Deo Sai emphasized that the Chhattisgarh government is consistently striving for the state’s advancement. Furthering the vision of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, the state government has, over the past 15 months, fulfilled the majority of the assurances given by Prime Minister Modi. He asserted that the complete eradication of Naxalism is crucial to propel Chhattisgarh to new heights of development, and that the double-engine government is waging a decisive battle against Naxalism.
Speaking about industrial progress, Chief Minister Sai informed that under the state’s industrial policy, investment proposals worth more than Rs 4.5 lakh crore have been received so far. Special provisions have been made in sectors like animal husbandry and dairy production to double the income of farmers. He further elaborated that the government aims to transform agriculture into a profitable enterprise. Sharing updates on various initiatives, he highlighted schemes such as the Ramlala Darshan Yojana, Mukhyamantri Teerth Darshan Yojana, and region-specific development plans for the Bastar and Sarguja divisions.
Highlighting the government’s commitment to transparency, Chief Minister Shri Sai reiterated that a zero-tolerance policy towards corruption is being rigorously implemented. A separate department for Good Governance has been established, and an e-office system has been introduced to ensure greater transparency in administrative functioning. He emphasized that the active participation of every citizen is essential for building a developed Chhattisgarh and urged all residents to meaningfully contribute towards this collective goal.
Finance Minister Shri OP Choudhary, addressing the gathering, praised the Agharia community’s hard work, dedication, and commitment, stating that they require no introduction. He said that a cohesive and organized society plays a pivotal role in nation-building. Shri Choudhary commended the Agharia community’s leadership not only in agriculture but also in the field of education.
Highlighting the national vision, Shri Choudhary mentioned that under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, the goal has been set to make India a developed nation by 2047. He stressed the importance of capacity building among the youth to achieve this objective. Urging the youth to set clear goals and work diligently, he added that the greater one’s risk-taking ability, the better equipped one would be to face the challenges of the times. Shri Choudhary also emphasized the importance of educating daughters, stating that investing in their education is crucial to securing the future of the coming generations.
The programme was also addressed by the Member of Parliament Mrs. Roopkumari Choudhary, MLAs Shri Motilal Sahu, Shri Purandar Mishra, Shri Sunil Soni, and National President of the Agharia Samaj, Mrs. Usha Patel. On this occasion, prominent figures of the community including Shri Ranjan Patel and Dr. Devendra Nayak, along with a large number of distinguished members of the Agharia community, were present.
