CM Vishnu Deo Sai : The rich art, culture, and illustrious history of Chhattisgarh have become the centre of attention at the Prayagraj Mahakumbh, captivating devotees and visitors alike. Under the visionary leadership of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai and through Shri Modi’s guarantee, Chhattisgarh’s rapid progress and unique heritage are drawing nationwide curiosity. This enthusiasm is prominently on display at the Chhattisgarh Pavilion, a star attraction at the event.
Located in Sector 6, near the Government of India’s Kalagram in Lakshmidwar, the Chhattisgarh Pavilion is impossible to miss with its grand entrance styled as the iconic ‘Gaur Mukut’. The striking design, representing Chhattisgarh’s identity, lures devotees from afar. At the entrance, visitors are greeted with a stunning image of Bastar’s Chitrakoot Waterfall, often referred to as “India’s Niagara” and a statue of Chhattisgarh Mahtari, symbolizing the state’s nurturing spirit.
Inside, the pavilion offers a vivid glimpse into the rural life of Chhattisgarh. On one side, a detailed recreation of a traditional village showcases the state’s tribal art, jewellery, clothing, and cultural richness. The right side highlights the four revered patron goddesses of the state – Maa Mahamaya, Maa Chandrahasini, Maa Danteshwari, and Maa Bamleshwari – with detailed exhibits and photographs.
Adding to the allure, the pavilion presents Bastar’s famed Dhokra sculptures, as well as depictions of the state animal and bird. Visitors can also explore replicas of Sirpur and Jaitkham, representing Chhattisgarh’s historic and spiritual heritage.
Modern technology takes centre stage inside the pavilion, with interactive displays offering insights into the state’s government initiatives. Programs like Mor Awas Mor Adhikar and the paddy procurement scheme, featuring a support price of Rs. 3,100 per quintal, are showcased. Visitors can dive deeper into Chhattisgarh’s transformation through immersive experiences using virtual reality headsets and 180-degree video displays inside a dome. These innovative tools have sparked widespread excitement, with long queues forming as people eagerly await their turn.
Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai’s commitment to transforming Chhattisgarh into a developed state is reflected in the pavilion’s presentation. Devotees and visitors have been moved by the progress showcased here, with many describing it as a “mini Chhattisgarh” in the heart of Prayagraj
