CM Vishnu Deo Sai: Centre approves ₹3,462 crore to Chhattisgarh under Tax Devolution
Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai has expressed heartfelt gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman for approving ₹3,462 crore to the state under tax devolution.
Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai said that on the auspicious occasion of Navratri and Dussehra, this allocation by the Central Government is indeed a precious gift for the people of Chhattisgarh. He added that the amount would further strengthen the state’s financial resources, accelerate development projects, and infuse new energy into welfare schemes.
Reiterating his government’s commitment, CM Vishnu Deo Sai said that the double-engine government of the Centre and the State is consistently working to take Chhattisgarh to new heights of progress and prosperity. He expressed confidence that this support would make the lives of the people of the state happier and more secure.
It is noteworthy that keeping in view the upcoming festive season and to enable states to accelerate capital expenditure and finance their development/welfare-related expenditure, the Government of India on October 1, 2025, released an additional tax devolution of ₹1,01,603 crore to state governments. This is over and above the regular monthly devolution that is scheduled to be released on October 10, 2025.
