CM Vishnu Deo Sai today formally dedicated 226 new houses constructed under Atal Vihar Yojana at Murmunda village under Sushasan Tihar and handed over the houses of their dreams to the beneficiaries. On this occasion, while welcoming Shri Tushar Sahu, the owner of Building No. 226, he said, Today we are handing over to you not just a house, but a house of your dreams. This moment is a memorable milestone not only in your life but also in the public welfare efforts of the government.
Congratulating all the beneficiaries, CM Vishnu Deo Sai said that it is the priority of the Chhattisgarh government to provide dignified and safe housing to every citizen of the state. He said schemes like Atal Vihar not only provide housing facilities to the masses but also play an important role towards their social and economic empowerment. Rural Development and Panchayats Minister Vijay Sharma was also present on the occasion.
years of dreaming
Shri Tushar Sahu, a beneficiary of House No. 226, who was overwhelmed to receive the Griha Pravesh at the hands of the Chief Minister, said that he had always dreamt of living in a beautiful, clean and serene environment. This dream of years has come true today. The homecoming by CM Vishnu Deo Sai is a moment of pride and emotion for me. He informed that this 2 BHK accommodation is equipped with all the necessary facilities and is also affordable as compared to the market price. Mr. Sahu was present on the occasion along with his parents and family members. The Chief Minister also inspected his residence and appreciated the quality of construction.
Many beneficiaries get keys
Shri Rupnarayan Dewangan, Shri Arun Sahoo and Shri Chandrashekhar Rathore were also handed over the keys of their residences by CM Vishnu Deo Sai on the occasion. The owner of Building No. 215 is Shri Arun Sahu, who is posted at Bhilai Steel Plant. “Entering my dream home before retirement is the happiest feeling of my life. Through the Atal Vihar Yojana, the state government has given us the opportunity that was awaited for years.
A bright future for housing
Under the Atal Vihar Yojana run by the Chhattisgarh Housing Board, a total of 226 independent houses and 12 shops have been constructed at a cost of Rs 24 crore 57 lakh 98 thousand on about 10 acres of land in village Murmunda. Of these, 55 buildings are of EWS category, 69 of LIG-A type, 86 of B type and 16 of MIG type. The sale of all the buildings has been completed and the registry of 7 buildings has also been done.
