CM Vishnu Deo Sai today attended the funeral of Chhattisgarh-based businessman who lost his life in a terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir. In a gesture of deep respect and solidarity, the Chief Minister shouldered the mortal remains of the deceased and paid floral tribute, praying for eternal peace to the departed soul.
Expressing heartfelt condolences to the grieving family, CM Vishnu Deo Sai met with the bereaved members, offering them solace and assuring unwavering support from the State Government during this hour of tragedy. He reaffirmed the government’s commitment to extending all necessary assistance to the family.
CM Vishnu Deo Sai also stated that efforts would be made to preserve and honour the sacred memory of Late Shri Dinesh Mirania by naming a road or public square in his honour, thereby ensuring that his contribution and sacrifice are remembered forever.
Condemning the terrorist attack in the strongest terms, CM Vishnu Deo Sai said, “This cowardly act by terrorists has inflicted a deep wound on the soul of the nation. It is a moment of immense grief and pain for the entire state. Chhattisgarh has lost one of its sons in this heinous incident.”
He further added that the abrogation of Article 370 had ushered in an era of peace in Jammu and Kashmir, promoting tourism and accelerating development in the Valley. “The terrorists have attempted to destabilise Kashmir and the nation by targeting tourists. The entire country stands united against this inhuman act, and justice will be delivered,” he asserted.
Calling out Pakistan’s role in the attack, CM Vishnu Deo Sai stated that the neighbouring nation would have to face the consequences of orchestrating such brutality.
On this solemn occasion, Deputy Chief Minister Shri Vijay Sharma, Finance Minister Shri O.P. Choudhary, Union Minister of State Shri Tokhan Sahu, MLAs Shri Kiran Deo and Shri Rajesh Munat, and Chairman of the Civil Supplies Corporation Shri Sanjay Srivastava, along with a large number of citizens, were present to pay their respects.
