During his visit to Korba district today, CM Vishnu Dev Sai unveiled the statue of Lokmata Maharani Ahilyabai Holkar at the Convention Centre and announced that the Convention Centre would be named after the Maharani. On the occasion, he presented 66 different development works worth over Rs 223.88 crore to the people of the district.
CM Vishnu Dev Sai said that Maharani Ahilyabai Holkar of Indore was a popular and just ruler. He did remarkable work in the field of women’s education, promoted women empowerment and gave a new identity to important pilgrimage and religious places of the country. On the occasion, the Chief Minister announced to make the convention centre air-conditioned. He said that he had come to Korba six months ago, during which various development works worth more than Rs 600 crore were awarded. Today, the people of Korba district will benefit from the gift of development works worth Rs.
CM Vishnu Dev Sai spoke of taking necessary initiatives for the establishment of Aluminium Park. He also planted a vermilion sapling in the Convention Centre premises under the name of ‘Ek Tree Maa. ” He also visited a photo exhibition on the life of Lokmata Ahilyabai Holkar. The event was also addressed by Deputy Chief Minister Shri Arun Sawh and Industries Minister Shri Lakhanlal Dewangan.
Inauguration and foundation stone laying
The works dedicated by CM Vishnu Dev Sai included Ekal Gramme Nal-Jal Yojana in 11 villages, new Primary Health Centre building in 3 villages, new building / renovation work of Swami Atmanand Hindi Medium Vidyalaya, and installation of 2.4 KW solar power plant in 47 hostels / ashrams under Jal Jeevan Mission. Similarly, the major works of the Bhumi Pujan include 100 TPD Solid Waste Management Project for Municipal Corporation Korba, City Bus Depot-Terminal Complex under Pradhan Mantri e-Bus Sewa, construction of SNCU Hall, Training Hall and other works in 100 bed hospital, water conservation work in Ayodhyapuri pond and District Mineral Institute Trust and various works of the 15th Finance Commission.
