Your affection and cooperation is our biggest strength and together we will realise the resolve of a developed, prosperous and strong Chhattisgarh. “CM Vishnu Dev Sai was addressing the program by distributing incentive amount of Rs. 2 lakh each to 31 meritorious children of registered workers who got ranks in top 10 of class X and XII under Mukhyamantri Noni Babu Meritorious Education Assistance Scheme held at New Circuit House in the capital Raipur today. Meanwhile, the Chief Minister transferred more than Rs. 19.71 crore directly into the bank accounts of 38,200 construction workers registered with the Chhattisgarh Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board.
Congratulating the meritorious children of the Shramveers who have secured excellent results in the 10th and 12th examinations, the Chief Minister said that our government understands the needs of the labour families very well and is working dedicatedly for their overall welfare. He said that today, if the child of a labourer family wants to go abroad to study, then a provision of assistance up to 50 lakh rupees has also been made by the Labour Department. CM Vishnu Dev Sai said that we are taking steps with innovation and making such policies which will provide maximum employment to the youth of the state. Referring to the attractive industrial policy of the state, he informed that investment proposals worth more than Rs 5 lakh crore have been received by the state government so far, which will create employment opportunities on a large scale.
Sharing his experiences as Union Minister of State in the Ministry of Labour, CM Vishnu Dev Sai said that I have a special attachment with the workers and it is always satisfying to work in the interest of the workers.
CM Vishnu Dev Sai said that I was given the responsibility of the Ministry of Labour for two years in the first term of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and under his leadership, as the Minister of State for Labour, we took many historic steps in the direction of workers’ pension reform and ensured minimum pension amount. He said that our Prime Minister is sensitive towards the workers and on his instructions, we had also taken a big decision to use the unclaimed amount of about 27 thousand crore rupees lying in the Provident Fund (PF) of the workers for years in their interest. As a Minister of State, the Universal PF Number was introduced by our government, which removed the problem of workers claiming PF amount repeatedly.
Speaking on the occasion, CM Vishnu Dev Sai urged everyone to spread the information about the schemes run by the Labour Department to other needy people so that more and more workers can take advantage of them. He shared information about other welfare schemes being run in the state along with providing hot and nutritious food for the workers.
Industries Minister Lakhan Lal Dewangan said that under the leadership of CM Vishnu Dev Sai, the state is moving towards all-round development. He informed that in these one and a half years, all the promises have been fulfilled under “Modi’s Guarantee.” He said that today an amount of Rs. 19.71 crore is being provided to 38,200 workers and Rs.62 lakh to 31 students selected in the merit list under various schemes. Mr. Devangan said that under the Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh Shram Anna Yojana, 46 centres in 17 districts are providing free food to the workers at Rs. 5 and in future it will be implemented in all the industrial districts. He also informed about starting free coaching facility for the children of labourers.
The Labour Minister said that under the new industrial policy, the rules for setting up industries have been simplified, which has increased investment and is creating employment opportunities for the youth.
Chhattisgarh Bhawan and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board Chairman Dr. Ram Pratap Singh said that with the resolve of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the state is moving towards new heights of development. Through the Mandal, 31 public welfare schemes are being run in the state, including schemes like Noni Sashaktikaran, Mahtari Yatna, Shramik Siyan Sahayata. He said that the Mandal is providing health, education and financial assistance to 29.47 lakh registered workers and their families in the state. The workers can register themselves on Shramev Jayate App, Public Service Centre or Labour Office.
Noni Babu Medhavi Shiksha Sahayata Yojana has changed the lives of children from working families.
During the programme, the children benefited from the Chief Minister Noni Babu Medhavi Shiksha Sahayata Yojana expressed their happiness and gratitude in front of Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai. All the children said they were from labour and poor families, but the scheme gave them an opportunity to study. This scheme is giving a new flight to the dreams of labour families.
Hira Singh of Bhaiyathan in Surajpur district said that after completing B Tech from IIIT, he has now become a junior data science developer. He received a grant of Rs. 4.10 lakh from this scheme, which enabled him to complete his studies.
Similarly, Amalendra Painkara, a final year B.Tech student, said his family earns a living by paying wages and is able to pay college fees with the help of this scheme.
Another student, Deepak Pankra, shared his journey from a small village in Surajpur to admission in IIIT, Raipur. Deepak said that he is paying the fees for his BTech studies through the scheme and has received about Rs 4 lakh as assistance from the scheme.
The Chief Minister wished the children of all the Shramveers a bright future.
