On the first day of the Gurudarshan Mela at Giroudpuri Dham, CM Vishnu Dev Sai paid obeisance at the Guru Gaddi and prayed for the prosperity and well-being of the people of the state.
On the occasion, the Chief Minister announced enhancement of Giraudpuri Mela grant from Rs 25 lakh to Rs 50 lakh as demanded by the Mela Committee and construction of a permanent shed from the main entrance of the Mela premises to the temple for the convenience of the devotees.
After offering prayers at the temple, CM Vishnu Dev Sai distributed prasadam to the devotees. On this occasion, Deputy Commissioner Dharam Pal Gupta, SSP Harjit Singh, Additional DC (general) Roohi Dugg, SDM Sandeep Kumar, Assistant Commissioner Dr. Karamjit Singh, Civil Surgeon Dr. Jugal Kishore, SP Sukhdev Singh, ACS Dr. Jyoti Kaushal, Dr. Parvesh, DSP Rajesh Chhibbar among various others were also present.
Significantly, the three-day Giroudpuri Mela is being held from March 4 to 6, which is becoming a medium to spread the message of truth, non-violence and equality of Guru Ghasidas ji to the people.
