CM Vishnu Sai paid homage to the former Prant Pracharak of Chhattisgarh, Shri Shantaram Ji, at Jagriti Mandal, Pandri in Raipur today.
CM Vishnu Sai Chouhan paid floral tributes to the mortal remains. The Chief Minister said that revered Shantaram ji was a senior pracharak of the Sangh and he had a very close relationship with me. He always provided parental love and guidance. His demise is not only a loss to the Sangh Parivar, society and the state, but also a personal loss to me. The Chief Minister prayed to God to grant the departed soul a place at his feet and strength to the bereaved family members to bear this profound sorrow.
Former Chief Minister Dr. Raman Singh while paying tributes to revered Shantaram Ji said that he was like a father to us. He made a significant contribution to nation building by reviving Madakudeep and became a role model for all with his humility and values of life. As a senior pracharak of the Sangh, he constantly guided the people of Chhattisgarh and the swayamsevaks by treating them as family. Even as Chief Minister, I continued to receive his affection and blessings. His death has been mourned by entire country.
