CM Vishnudev Sai blessed 31 newly married Divyang couples at the Divyangjan mass marriage ceremony organized by Akhil Bhartiya Viklang Chetna Parishad. Wishing them a happy married life, he described the event as an example of social harmony and empowerment of Divyangjans.
CM Vishnudev Sai said that in line with the principle of Swami Vivekananda, “Nar Seva Hi Narayan Seva,” this event is a great example of service to Divyangjans. He appreciated this initiative of the Council over the years and described it as an effort to bring about a positive change in the society.
He described mass marriage of Divyangjans as an important step towards social inclusion and said that service to Divyangjans is not only a social responsibility but also an act of virtue. This event is not only a new beginning for 31 couples but also inspires the society for sensitivity and cooperation towards Divyangjans.
Giving details of the schemes of the state government, CM Vishnudev Sai said that under the Mukhyamantri Kanya Vivah Yojana, each couple is given an assistance of Rs 50,000, while if both the spouses are differently-abled, then an assistance of Rs one lakh is provided under the Divyang Vivah Protsahan Yojana. He reiterated Government’s commitment towards empowerment of Divyangjan.
Emphasizing on the empowerment of women, CM Vishnudev Sai said that about 70 lakh women of the state are being given financial assistance of Rs 1,000 per month. He highlighted the importance of daughters while talking about the success of Beti Bachao-Beti Padhao scheme.
Mass Marriage: An Example of Social Unity The Chief Minister said that mass marriage is a commendable effort to promote social unity. He appreciated the contribution of various social organizations in this event and described it as one that enhances cooperation and solidarity in society.
CM Vishnudev Sai said that service to humanity is the biggest religion and it is a privilege to help the Divyangjans. He motivated the voluntary organizations for organizing such events and congratulated the committee for the successful event.
The Chief Minister congratulated the newly married couples and wished them a happy married life.
Special Attraction: Presentation of Divyang Children On this occasion, the deaf and dumb Divyang children of ‘Kopalvani’ presented a cultural dance on Chhattisgarhi songs, which mesmerized everyone. The Chief Minister appreciated their talent and encouraged them.
Appreciating the works of the Council, CM Vishnudev Sai said that the government is making continuous efforts to promote rehabilitation, medical and self-reliance of Divyangjans. Dr. Vinay Pathak, National Executive President of the Council also blessed the newly wedded couples and spoke about furthering the efforts of the Council for empowerment of Divyangjans.
