CM Vishnudev Sai today visited the village of Karigaon in the Sakti district under Good Governance Tihar 2025. He was sitting on a cot under a Peepal tree. A large number of villagers were present in the chaupal who directly interacted with the Chief Minister and shared their problems, suggestions, and the implementation of the government’s schemes. The Chief Minister said that the aim of our government is not only to create schemes but to ensure their implementation at the ground level and to reach every eligible citizen. He mentioned that the basic premise of good governance is public hearing and engagement with public servants, and today’s Chaupal is a step in that direction.
Chief Minister visits beneficiaries of PM Awas Yojana
After the chaupal,CM Vishnudev Sai visited the under-construction residence of Smt. Sonai Bai, a beneficiary of the Sai Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Gramin), inspected the quality of construction work, and interacted with the family to know about the benefits of the scheme. The Chief Minister asked the beneficiaries whether they were getting the assistance under the Mahtari Vandana Yojana. In response, Mrs. Sonai Bai said that she has been receiving this amount regularly, which is providing financial support to her family.

The villagers demanded new houses under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY). In response, the Chief Minister stated that the Chhattisgarh government is committed to providing housing for all. He informed that the survey work under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana is ongoing until May 15, 2025, during which all those who have been deprived of this scheme so far should register their names. Priority will be given to providing housing to all according to their eligibility. He mentioned that the State Government is ensuring that no eligible citizen is deprived of the right to housing. This is not just a scheme to provide a roof, but a strong step towards giving respect and security.
