Another step has been taken in the direction of strengthening the health services of the state. On the directions of CM Vishnudev Sai and Health Minister Shyam Bihari Jaiswal, the National Health Mission (NHM) has issued orders for the contractual appointment of 7 specialist doctors. These doctors have been deployed in various district hospitals and community health centres of the state.
Health Minister Shyam Bihari Jaiswal informed that 7 contractual specialist doctors have been posted in various government health institutions of the state. This will facilitate faster and better treatment and further strengthen the medical services.
These doctors have been posted in rural and urban community health centres and district hospitals of the respective districts. In this regard, fresh contractual appointment orders have been issued today by National Health Mission, Chhattisgarh. According to the order issued by the Specialist Doctors (Contractual), Dr. Piyush Dewangan and Dr. Vivek Singh have been posted at District Hospital Balod, Dr. Arpit Yadav, District Hospital Kabirdham, Dr. Shashikant Kumar, District Hospital Manendragarh-Chirmiri-Bharatpur, Dr. Sanjay Kumar Agarwal, Community Health Centre Saraipali, District Mahasamund, Dr. Ghanshyam Gangwani and Dr. Priyanka Joshi have been posted at Community Health Centre Sargaon, District Mungeli.
Under the leadership of CM Vishnudev Sai, the health sector is being given top priority. In the last one year, many important work has been done in the direction of strengthening health services. A large number of contractual human resources have been appointed under the National Health Mission to reach health facilities to remote and rural areas of the state. From January 2024 to April 2025, contractual appointments have been made to 88 Specialist Doctors, 432 Medical Officers, 344 Staff Nurses, 87 ANMs, 75 Lab Technicians, 279 Community Health Officers and 878 other posts. This has further strengthened the medical services in the health centres of the State.
This expansion of health services in the state is not just the result of government efforts, but an example of systematic and goal-based policy making. These appointments are proving to be a milestone in the direction of increasing the capacity of health centres and providing timely treatment to the general public.
