CM Yadav emphasized that Lord Mahavir’s timeless message of “Ahimsa Parmo Dharma” (Non-violence is the supreme religion) has held significance since ancient times and will continue to do so in the future. He said Mahavir Swami’s teachings inspire us to follow a path of peace, harmony, and understanding. The principle of “Live and Let Live,” he noted, is not just a slogan but a philosophy to be lived and practiced.
CM Yadav also announced the establishment of a Jain Welfare Board by the state government. He made this declaration while virtually addressing the oath-taking ceremony of the All India Shwetambar Sthanakvasi Jain Conference held in Indore from his residence.
Commending the Jain community, CM Yadav applauded their steadfast commitment to the ideals of non-violence and coexistence, calling them a model for society. He highlighted that the core tenets of Jainism—truth, non-violence, non-stealing, celibacy, and non-possessiveness—are inspired by Mahavir Swami and the other Tirthankaras. Their compassion for all living beings and emphasis on disciplined, selfless living are deeply admirable, he said.
CM Yadav further mentioned that on the occasion of Mahavir Jayanti, global well-being was prayed for through the chanting of the Universal Navkar Mantra. He added that the new resolutions shared by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi on the occasion aim to promote holistic development and environmental harmony. Under PM Modi’s leadership, India is not only advancing socially and economically but is also emerging as a spiritual guide for the world.
The event was graced by the presence of Conference President Shri Hulas Betala, Senior Vice President Shri Mukesh Raka, Treasurer Shri Rajesh Jhama, and Provincial General Secretary Shri Piyush Jain.
