CM Yadav took part in the second traditional procession of Lord Mahakal during the holy month of Shravan on Monday. Lord Mahakal, in the forms of Shri Chandramouleshwar (in a palanquin) and Shri Manmahesh (on an elephant), set out on a city tour to bless devotees and check on the well-being of the people. The CM offered prayers and performed rituals at the Sabha Mandap before the procession began. Full Vedic rites (Shodashopachar) and an Aarti were conducted during the event.
CM Yadav Initiates Cultural Procession with Tribal Dances
The grand event was enriched by performances from eight tribal dance groups, formally inaugurated by the CM. Dr. Yadav walked barefoot throughout the route, chanting and singing devotional songs for Baba Mahakal. He was joined by Deputy CM Shri Rajendra Shukla, Urban Development Minister Shri Kailash Vijayvargiya, Minister-in-Charge Shri Gautam Tetwal, MLA Shri Anil Jain Kaluheda, Mayor Shri Mukesh Tatwal, and Shri Sanjay Agrawal.
CM Yadav Plays Traditional Instruments During Procession
Actively engaging in the event, CM Dr. Yadav played the damru and cymbals along the entire route. School children added to the spiritual ambiance by playing traditional trumpets (ghosh vadan), while chants of “Bhole Shambhu” and “Bholenath” echoed throughout the streets.
