The Lieutenant Governor of Yamanashi Province of Japan made a courtesy call on CM Yogi Adityanath.
Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath paid a courtesy call on the Vice Governor of Japan’s Yamanashi Province, Mr. Kou Osada at his official residence. In this meeting, the possibility of strengthening relations and investment between Uttar Pradesh and Yamanashi Province was discussed.
A 200-member delegation will come from Japan to explore investment opportunities in Uttar Pradesh, the deputy governor of Yamanashi prefecture said. Appreciating the strong law and order and good governance in the state, he said this would help attract Japanese investors and create new employment opportunities for the youth.
In this meeting, there was a special discussion on green hydrogen, in which an agreement was reached between Uttar Pradesh and Yamanashi Province and the Center of Excellence was established. Japanese technology will be used in this center, and it was also considered to organize an international seminar where experts associated with hydrogen technology will participate. In addition, Yamanashi University will provide an opportunity for students from Uttar Pradesh to study industrial technology.
The Vice-Governor of Yamanashi Province appreciated the immense tourism potential of Uttar Pradesh, especially the sites associated with Buddhism. He discussed plans to attract Japanese tourists to historical sites like Sarnath, Kushinagar and Shravasti through the Buddhist circuit.
Apart from this, discussions were also held on providing employment opportunities to the youth of Uttar Pradesh in Japan, especially in Yamanashi Province. A plan to send them to Japan by providing Japanese language and necessary skills was considered. At the same time, Yamanashi Province is also planning to give scholarships to students from Uttar Pradesh for study.
