CM Yogi Adityanath addressed the Bhavanjali program organized on the birth centenary year of Yugtulsi Pandit Ramkinkar Upadhyay

CM Yogi Adityanath said that the entire life of Yugtulsi Pandit Ramkinkar Upadhyay ji was dedicated to the values, ideals and dignity of Lord Shri Ram, on which Sanatan Dharma rests. It is a moment of great pride that we are joining the birth centenary celebrations of Pandit Ramkinkar Upadhyay Ji Maharaj today. The Chief Minister was speaking at the Bhavanjali programme organised to mark the birth centenary of Manasweta, Padmabhushan, Yugtulsi Pandit Ramkinkar Upadhyay in Lucknow today. The Chief Minister paid his humble tributes to the memory of Pandit Ramkinkar ji. A cultural programme based on the life of Lord Rama was presented on the occasion.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that the entire life of Pujya Ramkinkar Ji Maharaj, famous as Yugtulsi, was dedicated to Tulsi literature and the psyche. Through his unique interpretation and contemplation, Pandit Ramkinkar Ji ushered in a unique style. Referring to the mantra of Yajurveda ‘Vedahmetam Purusham Mahantamaditya Varnam Tamas: Parastat “regarding the traits of great men, the Chief Minister said that the scriptures discuss two types of men. One is the ordinary Purusha, which in classical language is called Prakrit Purusha and the other is the specific Purusha. The two do not differ much from the physical point of view, but the peculiarity of their actions suggests that they are different.

The Chief Minister said that we have to remember that one who is a fakir of the line is an ordinary person. But the one who does special work out of the box is a great man and special. The unique style that Pandit Ramkinkar ji gave birth to through his story and thoughts has benefited everyone from the President of India Dr. Rajendra Prasad ji to an ordinary human being.
There was no difference between them. Whoever has affection for Rama, he could have enjoyed and benefited from the story of Pandit Ramkinkar Ji Maharaj. The Chief Minister said that Pandit Ramkinkar ji rendered valuable service to Sanatan Dharma and the country through Manas for about 6 decades. In the year 1999, the Government of India honoured him with the Padma Award for his selfless service to the country and Dharma. It is our responsibility to show respect to such a great man. November 1, 2024 will mark 100 years of his birth. It is a very good coincidence that in the birth centenary year of Pandit Ramkinkar ji itself, Lord Shri Ram Lalla has settled in Ayodhya after 500 years. There is no greater example of true faith than this.

The Chief Minister said that Pujya Ramkinkar ji is not physically present among us. He was physically separated from us in 2002, but his stories and creations continue to inspire and give us new direction. During the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi movement, his stories served as a great awareness. This public awakening was of the same kind as was done by Sant Tulsidas ji in the medieval period. During the period when this country was suffering from foreign invaders, Sant Tulsidas ji worked to awaken public consciousness in every village through Shri Ramcharitmanas. Saint Tulsidas worked to connect villages through the staging of Ramlilas.

The Chief Minister said that at that time Tulsidas ji was given many temptations to come to the court of the emperor. But Sant Tulsidas ji said that there is only one king of India and that is Ram. This is the fearlessness of a saint. In the Ramlilas of India, even today this mantra and slogan resonates that ‘Raja Ramchandra Ki Jai’. This slogan was given by Tulsidas ji himself during that period. Whenever we work out of the box, it will attract people and become an inspiration for them. The story of Lord Rama presents many examples in this regard.

The Chief Minister said that even today the general public organizes Ramlilas in villages with reverence without depending on the government. In this, the characters become the youth of the village itself. They see art in a new way. A new style of communication is seen in different places. Through this, social harmony is established in the village and the values of Sanatan Dharma are strengthened. The family of Shri Kishore Tandon ji is constantly carrying out its tradition with reverence. Such programmes should be continued.

The Chief Minister said that Maharishi Valmiki ji composed his famous epic Valmiki Ramayana in a unique style of practical Sanskrit. Saint Tulsidas ji composed Ramcharitmanas in Awadhi style. It became a medium of inspiration and mass consciousness for all of us. No auspicious and auspicious work of the people takes place here without Akhand Ramayana. Born in Bareilly, Pandit Radheshyam ji initiated a new dialogue through the Radheshyam style, he also became famous. Similarly, Yugatulasi also became famous through the unique style of storytelling that he gave birth to.

The Chief Minister said that it is our good fortune that this is the birth centenary year of Pandit Ramkinkar ji. It should be organised in a grand manner. The special address of Pandit Ramkinkar ji, his various quotes should be made available to the general public in the form of a memory book. On this occasion, Rajya Sabha MP and former Deputy Chief Minister Dr. Dinesh Sharma, the daughter and spiritual successor of Pandit Ramkinkar Upadhyay, was also present.Mandakini Sri Ramkinkar, Manas Marmagya Pujya Vyas Pandit Uma Shankar Sharma and other dignitaries were present on the occasion.
