CM Yogi Adityanath: Inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of 129 projects worth about Rs 700 crore in the district
UP CM Yogi Adityanath attended the closing ceremony of MLA Khel Mahakumbh in Sonbhadra district today. He also inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of 129 projects worth about Rs 700 crore in the district. During the program, a tug-of-war competition was organized in the presence of the Chief Minister. Players above 60 years of age participated in it. A cultural programme and a quiz competition were also organised on the occasion. The Chief Minister gave away prizes and certificates to the winners of the competitions.
Addressing the event, CM Yogi Adityanath said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the country has witnessed all-round development in the last 10 years. A new India is emerging. Sports activities have received unprecedented encouragement. Uttar Pradesh will develop, only then India will set a new paradigm of development. Uttar Pradesh will develop only when every district of the state stands firmly on the development plank. The development of the state will not be possible only through the development of one place. We have to pursue all-round development, which includes the development of spiritual and cultural heritage as well as material development. Education, health, employment and sports activities should also be taken forward with priority.
CM Yogi Adityanath said that Sonbhadra is a very important district from the point of view of culture and religious traditions of the state and the country. It is full of early fossil parks, cave paintings, natural resources, water and forest. The Shivdwar temple of this district is an important pilgrimage of the 11th century. The entire district is located between the quadrangular enclosure of Maa Vindhyavasini Temple, Shri Kashi Vishwanath Temple, Maa Jwalamukhi Devi Temple, Maa Mundeshwari Mata Temple. It is very important because of its geographical, cultural and spiritual background and natural structure and has the potential to become the Switzerland of India. Sonbhadra generates 12,000 MW of power. It is known as the energy capital of the country.
Yogi Adityanath said that every person in the country and the world wants to visit religious places like Kashi and Prayagraj. This is the embodiment of the Prime Minister’s legacy and vision of development. In new India, Kashi Vishwanath Dham is spreading its grand aura. Mahakumbh-2025 has started in Prayagraj. Millions of people take a bath there. In the last three days, about 6 crore devotees have taken a dip in the holy Triveni of Maa Ganga, Maa Yamuna and Maa Saraswati.
CM Yogi Adityanath said that under the leadership and guidance of the Prime Minister, the vision of ‘One District One Medical College’ is also being realized in the state. There is a medical college in Sonbhadra. The plan to tap every house in Sonbhadra has come to the ground. Ancient sites will be restored and beautified. This area will be equipped with green energy through floating solar panels in the reservoirs built here. People will be provided employment at the local level.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath while thanking MLA Shri Bhupesh Choubey for the smooth conduct of MLA Khel Mahakumbh said that Shri Choubey and his team have worked with creativity and positivity through 11,000 people. Youth as well as senior citizens participated in various competitions organized through this. It’s very interesting and enjoyable. It is an inspiration for the youth and a way forward for the coming generations. People above 65 years of age participated in the Amrit Khela of tug-of-war. In this along with entertainment there was also an opportunity to show the power of power.
CM Yogi Adityanath said that vitality is necessary in life. Adopting the path of knowledge, hard work and entertainment, when we get used to living with nature, we will be healthy and long-lived. Man is the best creation of God. It has to be verified. The girls gave their best performance in kabaddi. The teams of Robertsganj and Nagwan fought each other with great strength. These competitions started at the lower level and reached through Gram Panchayats, Nyaya Panchayats and Blocks. A total of 11,000 participants took part in these sports events. Competitions were held in cricket, kabaddi, kho-kho, volleyball, kho-kho, kho-kho, ball badminton, table tennis, chess, carom, shuttle badminton, ball badminton, basketball, volleyball and chess. 400 people above 65 years of age participated in the tug-of-war.
CM Yogi Adityanath said that in Kho-Kho, his team led by Ms. Alka Kumari achieved victory. Ms.Supriya Singh in Carrom, Ms.Ayushi Singh in Chess, Ms.Suman, Ms.Anjula, Ms.Khusboo in Running. He said that MLA sports competitions should be organized at the Nyaya Panchayat, Block and Assembly levels of other Assemblies. After this, the participants should be selected and awarded at the district level. There should be participation of every age group so that the totality is visible. Shoes, socks and track suits etc. should be arranged for talented players through CSR funds by establishing communication with various institutions.
CM Yogi Adityanath said that when he goes on a tour of a district, he definitely observes the stalls of women self-help groups. A new soap has been made from goat milk by a self-help group of women associated with the tribal community of Sonbhadra. Other programmes are also being held. The double engine government is also associating with these programs.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that with the inspiration of the Prime Minister, continuous work is being done in the direction of construction of playgrounds in every village, mini stadiums at the block level and stadiums at the district level. The Government has chalked out several programmes to promote sports activities. A sum of Rs. 06 crore has been provided for winning gold medal in single games, Rs. 04 crore for silver medal, Rs. 02 crore for bronze medal and Rs. 03 crore for gold medal, Rs. 02 crore for silver medal and Rs. 01 crore for bronze medal in team events. Gold medal in Asian Games is Rs. 03 crore, Silver medal Rs. 1.5 crore, Bronze medal Rs. 75 lakh, Commonwealth Games Gold medal Rs. 1.5 crore, Silver medal Rs. 75 lakh and Bronze medal Rs. 50 lakh. At the World Cup, a gold medal fetches Rs 1.5 crore, a silver medal Rs 75 lakh and a bronze medal Rs 50 lakh. An incentive of Rs 10 lakh has been arranged for the participation of any player of the state in the Olympics. An incentive of Rs 05-05 lakh is provided for participation in Commonwealth, Asian Games and World Championship.
CM Yogi Adityanath said that sports is a career in itself. Players who successfully advance in these competitions. They win medals in Olympics, Asian Games and Asian Games etc., the state government does the work of honouring them and giving them place in government jobs. Shri Lalit Upadhyay and Shri Rajkumar Pal, members of the Indian Hockey team that won medals at the Paris Olympics, have been appointed as Deputy SPs. More than 500 players of the state have been associated with government jobs in police, sports and other departments. The government provides financial assistance of Rs 20,000 per month to sportspersons who are awarded the Arjuna Award, Dronacharya Award, Major Dhyan Chand Award, Khel Ratna Award and Padma Awards in the field of sports. Financial assistance of Rs.4,000 / – per month is also provided to the aged, infirm and handicapped players of the state level and Rs.10,000 / – per month to the national level players. The first sports university of the state is being built in the name of hockey wizard Major Dhyan Chand in Meerut district.
Yogi Adityanath said that under the Har Ghar Nal Yojana in Sonbhadra, the work of connection has been completed in 2,53,537 i.e. 81 per cent of the households against 3,951 households. The programme is being implemented on a war footing. The Kanhar irrigation project is being constructed at a cost of Rs 3,394 crore. The project will irrigate more than 35,000 hectares of land belonging to about 50,000 farming families in 108 villages of Paddi and Obra in Sonbhadra district.
CM Yogi Adityanath said that the process of distribution of more than 16,000 land pattas in Sonbhadra has been done. People are getting benefits of various schemes of the government. These schemes include PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana, PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana and Kisan Credit Card Yojana. Under the Dharti Aaba Janjatiya Gram Utkarsh Abhiyan and Pradhan Mantri Janjatiya Unnat Gram Abhiyan, work is being done to cover the tribal dominated villages with many basic facilities. Under this, 176 villages of Sonbhadra have been selected. In this, Eklavya Model Residential School has been constructed in Piparkhand for the students of Scheduled Tribes. Work is also being done to connect other blocks with the selection process for this.
CM Yogi Adityanath said that Sonbhadra is joining the process of development with speed. Investment proposals worth Rs. 1,97,000 crore have been received for Sonbhadra through the UP Global Investors Summit. Once all these investment proposals hit the ground, 40,000 youth will get employment opportunities. Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Stamps and Court Fees and Registration Ravindra Jaiswal and Minister of State for Social Welfare Sanjeev Kumar Gond also addressed the function. Senior officials of the administration were also present on the occasion.
