Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath said that “CM Yuva Udyami Yojana” is a unique initiative of the state government, which is completely interest and guarantee free. Under this scheme, 68 thousand youth have been given assistance of Rs 2,751 crore so far. Along with this, the government is also providing 10 percent margin money to the beneficiaries, which is helping the youth to start businesses.
Inaugurating the ‘CM Youth Conclave and Expo-2025’, the Chief Minister said that this scheme is proving to be effective in making the youth job givers and not job seekers. A machinery supplier portal named ‘UP Mart’ was also launched on the occasion. Apart from this, the MSME Department has also signed 17 MoUs with various government and educational institutions.
In the programme, the youth benefited from the scheme shared their success stories. The Chief Minister said that many times the youth do not know the policy and scheme as soon as they leave the universities, and they get into difficulties by taking loans without preparation. Through this scheme, the government is not only providing them capital but also vocational training.
He also said that earlier the traditional industries were neglected in the state, but after the formation of the government in 2017, the ‘One Janpad One Product’ scheme was launched to give them recognition, which has taken the form of a brand today and the state’s exports have exceeded Rs 2 lakh crore.
CM Yogi Adityanath pointed out that the MSME sector has become the largest employer after agriculture, with 1.75 crore people directly and about 5.5 crore people indirectly.
He also mentioned the ‘Vishwakarma Shram Samman Yojana’, which is making traditional artisans self-reliant by providing them training and tool kits. Taking this idea forward, it has now been implemented at the national level in the form of ‘PM Vishwakarma Yojana’.
CM Yogi Adityanath said that MSME entrepreneurs in Uttar Pradesh do not need any license for three years and they will also get an insurance cover of up to Rs 5 lakh.
Talking about extending the conclave to other mandals and districts,CM Yogi Adityanath said that the youth should get relevant training by understanding the local needs. He appealed that every youth should take inspiration from the model of CM Youth Scheme and start their employment.
MSME Minister Rakesh Sachan said that with this scheme, thousands of youth have started their own business and created employment opportunities not only for themselves but also for others.
