Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath ji today inspected the preparations for Mahakumbh-2025 in Prayagraj district. He said that the state government is committed to provide smooth transportation, better residential facilities and quick assistance in emergency situations to the pilgrims and tourists coming from all over the country and the world.
मुख्यमंत्री जी ने मेला क्षेत्र में निर्माणाधीन टेण्ट सिटी का भौतिक निरीक्षण किया। उन्होंने कहा कि यहां ठहरने वाले लोगों के लिए भोजन की अच्छी व्यवस्था होनी चाहिए।He said that the state government is committed to provide smooth transportation, better residential facilities and quick assistance in emergency situations to the pilgrims and tourists coming from all over the country and the world.Keeping in mind the cold weather, all necessary arrangements should be made in time. There is a lot of enthusiasm among the people about staying in the tent city during Maha Kumbh. Staying here will be a pleasant experience. The Chief Minister was informed that adequate arrangements have been made for accommodation of more than 6,000 people in this fully equipped tent city being built at Arail on the banks of Sangam. The entire camp is being decorated in an attractive manner.
The Chief Minister inspected the arrangements at the VIP Circuit House. The officials informed the Chief Minister that under protocol management, availability of 250 camps in the Mela Circuit House, 175 camps for honourable judges, more than 2,200 camps under Tent City etc. is being ensured.A complete team is being deployed here along with 03 ADM level officers. Arrangements are being made for 02 cruises, 06 floating jetties, 04 VIP boats, 05 motor boats, 50 golf carts along with 50 tourist guides.
The Chief Minister inspected Swaroop Rani Hospital and Burn Unit, which are important from the point of view of medical facilities during the Maha Kumbh. He said that continuous dialogue and coordination should be maintained with the Central Hospital of the fair.The entire medical system should be active 24×7. There should be no shortage of doctors, paramedical staff and medicines in all permanent and temporary hospitals. Separate wards are being built for men and women. Shift-wise duty of the personnel should be ensured. Response time of ambulances should also be minimized in emergency situations .The Chief Minister also directed to take special care of the elderly, children, women and disabled people coming to the fair. It is worth mentioning that the 48-bed burn unit built under Swarooprani Hospital also has the facility of operation theater and ICU.
The Chief Minister inspected the preparations at Prayagraj Junction. Emphasizing on maintaining better coordination between the state government and railway officials, he said that railways are the most accessible means of transport for pilgrimsIt is estimated that this time around 10 crore people will come to Maha Kumbh by train. For the convenience of people coming from different states, it would be appropriate that railway announcements be made in different regional languages.
The Chief Minister discussed their action plan in a brief meeting with the railway officials and said that roadways buses will also be made available to transport people from the railway station to the Maha Kumbh Mela area.On reaching the railway station, the Chief Minister first inspected the medical aid centre set up by the railways. All arrangements are being made here for preliminary checkup of passengers in case of illness during the fair.After this, the Chief Minister inspected the arrangements at the railway shelter which has a capacity to accommodate 5,000 people. Railway officials told the Chief MinisterThat this time, separate shelters have been built at Prayagraj Junction with a capacity to accommodate 22,000 people, while across Prayagraj, the Railways has made arrangements for shelter of 01 lakh people.
The Chief Minister also took information about the special mobile ticketing service implemented for the first time in Maha Kumbh from UTS and talked to the railway employees related to fire safety. The Chief Minister also inspected the Railway Control Room at Prayagraj Railway Junction.During his visit, the Chief Minister inspected Prayagraj Airport and gave necessary instructions to the airport officials. He expressed satisfaction over all the work going on at the airport and directed to complete all the work in the first week of January. It is worth noting That during the Maha Kumbh, a large number of people will also come to Prayagraj via the airport. For this, on the instructions of the Chief Minister, work is being done on a large scale regarding passenger facilities at Prayagraj Airport.During the inspection, the Chief Minister observed all the preparations being made in view of the Maha Kumbh. He also observed the expansion work being done in the new building.
The Chief Minister directed that the movement of passengers will increase during the Maha Kumbh starting from January 13, so all preparations at the airport should be completed in the first week of January. He also saw the complete layout plan at the project site.The Chief Minister was informed that the preparations at the airport are progressing as per his wishes. A target has been set to complete all the work by December 31, 2024.Preparations are being made on a war footing at the airport for the Maha Kumbh. The airport is ready for flight landing during the day as well as at night. The Chief Minister performed the aarti of Ganga ji at the newly built Dashashwamedh Ghat and prayed at the Dashashwamedh Mahadev temple and wished for the successful organization of Maha Kumbh-2025.
