CM Yogi Adityanath gave information about the importance of Mahakumbh and Prayagraj and said that the whole world is watching Mahakumbh as an attraction.
Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath interacted with more than 100 diplomats from 73 countries in Mahakumbh Nagar today. Welcoming the foreign diplomats, the Chief Minister familiarized them with the importance of Mahakumbh and Prayagraj. He said that this journey will prove to be unforgettable for him, and he will carry many memorable experiences while returning from here.
CM Yogi Adityanath said that the whole world is watching the Mahakumbh from a fascinating perspective and it is a matter of pride for India that everyone is coming here. He informed that most of the major pilgrimages of India are located on the banks of Ganga and Mahakumbh is a symbol of this culture. Prayagraj, which is located at the confluence of Maa Ganga, Yamuna and Saraswati, is an ancient city. So far, about 35 crore people have come here to take Sangam bath, and 45 crore people are likely to come by February 26, 2025.
On this occasion, foreign diplomats also shared their experiences with CM Yogi Adityanath. Diplomats from 73 countries were part of the spiritual and cultural journey of Mahakumbh. He was welcomed by the state government at the Triveni Sankul located in Arail area, and then he was given a darshan of the Triveni Sangam by jetty boat.
The diplomats were informed about the importance of Sanatan culture and Mahakumbh. Some diplomats bathed in the holy Sangam and took a dip in the waters of the Ganges. Thereafter, he visited the Mahakumbh Mela, which included a visit to the Akshayvat Corridor and the Hanuman Temple. He was also given a darshan of the Saraswati Koop in the Akshayavat corridor, and many diplomats were particularly impressed by the tradition of worship of rivers and trees in Indian culture.
After visiting the Hanuman temple, the group of diplomats reached the Police Line auditorium, where CM Yogi Adityanath met them. State Finance Minister Suresh Khanna, Urban Development Minister Arvind Kumar Sharma and other public representatives and dignitaries were present on the occasion.
