Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Wednesday asserted that “New India gives a befitting reply to any attempt to breach its security”, emphasizing that the nation no longer compromises on its sovereignty, unity, and integrity. He made the remarks while paying tributes to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel at the Statue of Unity complex in Gujarat during the ongoing Bharat Parv 2025 celebrations.
New India stands firm on national security
Addressing the gathering, CM Yogi said, “New India does not make any compromises with its security, sovereignty or integrity. Anyone attempting to breach the nation’s security will have to pay a heavy price. We have witnessed this resolve in the past 11 years.”
He praised Sardar Patel, calling him the “Iron Man of India” and the architect of national unity, who successfully integrated 563 princely states into the Indian Union after independence. “Sardar Patel’s leadership and vision transformed the dream of a united India into reality,” Yogi said.
Referring to historical events, he mentioned that Junagadh and Hyderabad were initially reluctant to merge with India, but Patel’s firmness ensured their inclusion.
