Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath paid tributes to Nanaji Rao Peshwa, the great son of Mother India, on his birth anniversary at the closing ceremony of Bithoor Mahotsav-2025. He said Bithoor has been a symbol of India’s spiritual heritage and was an important centre of the 1857 revolution. On the occasion, CM Yogi Adityanath garlanded the statue of Nanaji Rao Peshwa and distributed loans, assistance money and appointment letters to beneficiaries under various government schemes.
Referring to the historical heritage of Bithoor, he said that this land has been the inspiration for freedom fighters. Rani Lakshmibai, Tatya Tope and Nanaji Rao Peshwa had led the struggle against the British rule from here. CM Yogi Adityanath also paid tributes to Bhagat Singh, Sukhdev and Rajguru on their martyrdom day and said their sacrifice inspires the youth of the country.
CM Yogi Adityanath also discussed the industrial revival of Kanpur and how Kanpur is being developed as an industrial hub again through the Defence Manufacturing Corridor, Textile Hub and Metro projects. Underlining the success of the Namami Gange project, he said that the Ganga is now flowing clean and uninterrupted, which has led to the re-appearance of aquatic life and dolphins.
