UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath paid tribute to martyr police officers on Police Remembrance Day and honored widows of three brave officers. Police budget increased for better security.
On the solemn occasion of Police Remembrance Day, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath paid heartfelt tribute to the brave police personnel who sacrificed their lives in the line of duty. The event, held at the Reserve Police Lines in Lucknow, also saw the Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath honoring the widows of three martyred officers for their immense courage and resilience.
The ceremony recognized the families of STF officer Sunil Kumar, constable Durgesh Kumar Singh from Jaunpur, and constable Saurabh Kumar of the Gautam Buddha Nagar Police Commissionerate. CM Yogi expressed deep gratitude and respect for their ultimate sacrifice, emphasizing that their dedication inspires the entire police force and society.
Addressing the gathering, CM Yogi Adityanath appreciated the police department for their role in maintaining peace and security during the recent successful Kumbh Mela in Prayagraj. He announced that the police budget for this year has been increased by five percent, totaling Rs. 40,661 crore, underscoring the government’s commitment to strengthening law enforcement capabilities.

Meanwhile, in Kushinagar, a grand remembrance parade was organized at the Police Lines to honor police officers who laid down their lives in the line of duty. Police Superintendent Keshav Kumar led the event, paying homage to the valiant heroes and recounting their stories of bravery.
The entire police fraternity, including area officers and staff, participated in a wreath-laying ceremony at the martyr memorial and observed two minutes of silence to honor the fallen heroes. The Superintendent urged all police personnel to imbibe the ideals of these martyrs and continue to serve society with dedication and integrity.
The event reinforced a collective pledge among the police force to never let the sacrifices of their comrades go in vain and to remain committed to protecting society and upholding justice.
