Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath reviewed the development projects related to the central and state government at his official residence and gave necessary instructions to the concerned officials. The meeting was attended by district magistrates, divisional commissioners and other senior officials.
CM Yogi Adityanath directed that the process of land acquisition and compensation distribution for the ongoing development projects in various districts be completed by March 15. He said that it is necessary to complete the projects related to public interest in a time-bound manner as it will not only generate employment but will also have a positive impact on the lives of the citizens. Delays in projects lead to cost overruns, putting an additional burden on revenues. The district administration was directed to regularly review the land acquisition and compensation distribution and establish communication with the affected farmers and families.
CM Yogi Adityanath also said that the District Magistrate should review the progress of development projects every week and the Divisional Commissioner every 15 days and send the information to the Chief Minister’s Office, Chief Secretary’s Office and the higher officials of the concerned departments. Citizens should be made aware of the benefits of development works and information on the circle rate of compensation should be made available in advance. Appointment of nodal officers should be ensured in the initial projects and special attention should be paid to the quality and timelines of the works.
Instructions were given to complete the construction of 350-bed ESIC hospital in Greater Noida and 100-bed hospital in Gorakhpur in a time-bound manner. He said that the problems being faced in these works should be resolved immediately as the construction of the hospital in Greater Noida will create about 1,000 direct and 2,000-3, 000 indirect employment opportunities. Strict action should be taken against those who are obstructing development works.
CM Yogi Adityanath also reviewed various development projects related to Varanasi and directed to complete them on time. He said that development and employment generation is the priority of the government, and all works should be executed under the policy of “Zero Pendency.”
