CM Yogi Adityanath hoisted the national flag at his official residence on the occasion of 76th Republic Day and paid tribute to the martyrs and patriots who laid down their lives for the motherland and also paid his respects to the architects of the Indian Constitution.
CM Yogi Adityanath unfurled the national flag at his official residence on the occasion of 76th Republic Day today. On this occasion, while paying homage to the immortal martyrs and patriots who sacrificed their lives for the motherland, he also paid respect to the framers of the Indian Constitution. “Before the independence of the country, a Constituent Assembly was formed under the leadership of Dr. Rajendra Prasad ji. Babasaheb Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar was given the responsibility of adding every article of the Constitution, and he prepared and submitted the draft of the Indian Constitution to the Constituent Assembly on November 26, 1949. The country adopted its Constitution on January 26, 1950. He also said that the Constitution of India guides every citizen to establish a society based on the principles of justice, equality, and fraternity. This Constitution inspires every citizen to give facilities of justice and governance without any discrimination, to promote equality in society, and to focus on the prosperity and security of the country with unity. Today, when our country is entering the 76th year of the 75th year of the implementation of the Constitution, we have the objective of creating a developed India, and this objective can only be achieved by following the Indian Constitution.
CM Yogi Adityanath said that the Constitution of India is a symbol of the thousands of years old great heritage of our country, which every Indian is proud of. It is a matter of great pride for all of us that in the original copy of the Constitution, India’s heritage has also been displayed through pictures, which inspires every Indian to connect with it. When we look at the original copy of the Constitution of India, we realize the deep and lofty traditions of Indian culture.
This Constitution has mentioned the rights as well as duties of the citizens of India. If every person talks about protecting his rights under the Constitution, then he should also be aware of his duties. That is why, while laying the foundation stone of the memorial of Babasaheb Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar in 2015, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi had called for celebrating 26th November as Constitution Day to draw inspiration from the Fundamental Duties enshrined in the Constitution. These Fundamental Duties serve as a guiding principle for every Indian and provide the inspiration to perform responsibilities towards our country and society.
“We should feel proud of our Constitution because our country has the privilege of being the world’s largest democracy. In our country, without any discrimination, every adult citizen of every caste, religion and community got the right to vote from the very first general election. In many other countries of the world, which took credit for modern democracy, a large section got the right to vote only after India due to apartheid. Women also got this right in these countries when India had already implemented it. All this was possible due to the untiring efforts of Babasaheb Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar, a great son of Mother India and a national hero.
“The Prime Minister has given us the resolve to make a developed India in the future. All citizens should work diligently for the development of India and make it a self-reliant and prosperous nation, while respecting the Constitution of India and taking inspiration from its core ideals. Whichever person is working in the field, if he will perform his duties sincerely, then a developed India will be in front of all of us in the next 25 years. Senior government officials were also present on the occasion.
