CM Yogi Adityanath: Work should be done by setting a target to increase the CD ratio of the district from 58 percent to 75 percent.
CM Yogi Adityanath reviewed the development works and law and order of Gorakhpur district after inaugurating the Video Conferencing Hall (Auditorium Room) constructed at Annexe Bhawan, Gorakhpur today.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath directed that work should be expedited by increasing manpower in development projects and each project should be completed in a time-bound and quality manner. A nodal officer should be appointed for every project, who will conduct weekly inspections. The District Magistrate or senior officer should review the progress of the works every 15 days from the nodal officers. He also said that the development works of the district should be given more impetus by establishing better coordination with the public representatives. Officials should conduct hearings in a regular and sensitive manner to address the problems of citizens, and complaints received on IGRS and CM Helpline should be resolved qualitatively.
Emphasizing on strengthening traffic management, the CM said that it should be ensured that e-rickshaws are not driven by minors. Street vendors should be systematically rehabilitated in vending zones and communication should be established with them. Action should be taken against the violators. Reviewing the works of GIDA, he directed that the officials of GIDA, district administration and police administration should hold a meeting with the entrepreneurs and solve their problems. The online system should be strengthened to solve the problems of entrepreneurs in GIDA and to benefit them from the schemes of governance. Every three months, meetings should be held with bankers to make the people benefit from the schemes of the government. Along with this, work should be done with the goal of increasing the CD ratio of the district from 58 to 75 percent.
Reviewing the law and order, CM Yogi Adityanath said that the policy of zero tolerance towards crime and criminals should be maintained. Police patrolling should be increased and strict action should be taken against the mafia. He asked them to identify the culprits and take strict action against them.
Reviewing the works of the Municipal Corporation, the CM said that the dumping of solid waste between rivers and embankments should be stopped. Students of Madan Mohan Malviya Technological University and Deendayal Upadhyaya Gorakhpur University should be informed about the water purification work being done in Takia Kawaldah and they should be given a tour of the place. The water of the drains should not be allowed to fall directly into the ponds or reservoirs, but should be dropped only after treating it.
Reviewing the health department, the CM directed that the process of making Ayushman cards for the elderly above 70 years of age should be further expedited and the scheme should be given more publicity. Reviewing the eradication of tuberculosis, he said that all the public representatives should adopt and monitor 5-5 tuberculosis patients and provide them health benefits with the help from the government. Senior officials and public representatives were present on the occasion.
