Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath said, “Kumbh is part of our ancient heritage. With the inspiration of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Prayagraj Mahakumbh-2025 was held in a divine, grand and digital form, in which more than 66 crore devotees took a dip of faith. The event became a medium to realise the vision of ‘Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat “where there was no discrimination of caste, language, region or creed.
CM Yogi Adityanath interacted with the officials of IIM Lucknow and Indian Postal Service on the theme ‘Nation Building through Mahakumbh. ” He said that Prayagraj Mahakumbh proved to be a confluence of faith and economy. The Centre and the state government spent Rs 7,500 crore for this, out of which Rs 6,000 crore was invested in infrastructure development in Prayagraj and adjoining areas. This will increase employment in the state.
CM Yogi Adityanath said that under the guidance of Prime Minister Modi, Prayagraj Kumbh-2019 was made a symbol of cleanliness, security and order. Earlier, there was a perception of disorder and dirt towards the Kumbh, which the government changed. Elaborate arrangements for crowd management, cleanliness and security were put in place, making the event a global attraction.
The preparations for Mahakumbh-2025 were started from 2022 itself. The venue was spread over 4,000 hectares, divided into 25 sectors. 30 pontoon bridges, 500 km of checkered plates, 1.5 lakh toilets and more than one lakh tents were installed. In Prayagraj, more than 200 roads were widened, 14 new flyovers and many religious places were renovated.
The Mahakumbh was also digital, with AI-based chatbots, digital tourist maps and 2,700 CCTV cameras installed. Anti-drone system was used for the first time. Special efforts were made to ensure water quality and the UP Pollution Control Board kept a constant vigil.
Millions of devotees took a dip on major festivals during the 45-day event. Presidents, Prime Ministers, Heads of State of 12 countries and people from more than 100 countries attended the event. The world media called it the biggest gathering of humanity.
CM Yogi Adityanath said that Mahakumbh is not only India’s cultural heritage, but its importance has also been acknowledged at the global level. UNESCO has recognized it as an intangible cultural heritage of humanity, giving a new identity to India’s culture and spirituality.
