CM Yogi Adityanath said that the holy land of Sant Shiromani Tulsidas ji and Trikaldarshi Valmiki ji, Chitrakoot has a history of thousands of years in itself. Many sages, divine saints made this land the base for the accomplishment of their sadhana. Lord Shri Ram had spent most of the period of exile in the land of Chitrakoot. This heritage gives a new inspiration to all of us. The country and the world take the glory of Chitrakoot in the same form even today. Under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the state government is taking forward the heritage and development of Chitrakoot district at a rapid pace. He talked about beautifying the ghats of Yamuna in Rajapur and building a riverfront.
CM Yogi was speaking at the ‘Tulsi Sahitya Samagam’ organised on the occasion of Tulsi Jayanti at Rajapur, the birthplace of Sant Tulsidas, in Chitrakoot district today. He paid obeisance at the Tulsi Janma Kutir and perused the manuscript of Shri Ramcharitmanas, handwritten by Goswami Tulsidas ji, kept in the Manas Mandir.
2 The Chief Minister said that Tulsidas ji, who was born in Rajapur in 1554, had given birth to a new revolution through Sanatan Dharma in that period. Sant Tulsidas ji did not become a court poet of any king and dedicated his life at the feet of Lord Shri Ram. Even during that period of slavery, there were some divine personalities who worked to awaken the consciousness of the people by creating a wonderful confluence of devotion and power without stopping – without falling – without bending and gave a new dimension to the system of that time.
During that period, Sant Tulsidas ji took Ramlila from village to village, from house to house.
CM Yogi said that Indian culture and civilization can be seen in many countries of the world. Mauritius is a prime example. Shriramcharitmanas can be seen at the place of worship in the homes of people in Mauritius. Shriramcharitmanas is part of the life of the people there. Ramlilas are also held here. We have seen the spirit of ‘Sraddhavan Manta Gyanam’ among the people there.
CM Yogi said that we have to take both heritage and development together, which will inspire the coming generation. We all have to work together to preserve India’s rich heritage. Both Rajapur and Lalapur in Chitrakoot are associated with this entire campaign.
CM Yogi said that ‘Chitrakoot Mahima Amit, Kahi Mahamuni Gayi’. Chitrakoot is the basis of the creation of Adi Mahakavya Ramayan and Shriramcharitmanas. Jagadguru Shri Rambhadracharya Ji Maharaj surprised everyone with his evidence and powerful speech regarding the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi movement. The story of Shri Ram by Pujya Murari Bapu captivates everyone’s heart. This is God’s grace. Good work is being done here to keep the memory of Sant Tulsidas ji alive by Murari Bapu. The divinity and brilliance in the speech of these revered saints is the accomplishment of the Lord.
Minister of Jal Shakti, Shri Swatantra Dev Singh, Minister of State for Labour and Employment, Shri Manohar Lal Mannu Kori, other public representatives, Jagadguru Swami Rambhadracharya Ji Maharaj, Katha Vyas Pujya Murari Bapu and senior officers of the administration and dignitaries were present on the occasion.
