CM Yogi Adityanath today held an interactive meeting with public representatives and officials in Aligarh district and reviewed the development works and received information about the upcoming development projects. The interaction programme introduced a new culture of dialogue between the government and the society under the leadership of the Chief Minister, which establishes the strong participation of public representatives in the development journey of Uttar Pradesh.
CM Yogi directed the officials that continuous monitoring of development projects, timeliness, quality and public participation are among the top priorities of the government. Timely, coordinated and transparent action should be taken on all the suggestions of the public representatives. The ground-breaking ceremony of the development projects should be done after September 15 with the taxes of the public representatives and the names of the local public representatives should be inscribed on the 2 plaques of the construction site. Unnecessary delay and negligence in works will not be tolerated and accountability of responsible officers will be fixed.
CM Yogi said that the people’s representatives should give priority to the works related to the needs of the people and ensure the use of available funds in the public interest in a transparent manner. Small works should be completed from the MLA fund, district panchayat, area panchayat and gram panchayat fund.
CM Yogi said that cleanliness committees should be active in every ward. Better water and sanitation. The religious and mythological places should be beautified and the connecting roads should be in good condition. The state government has beautified and developed public facilities at more than 1,000 religious places under the Mukhyamantri Paryatan Samvardhan Yojana.
The Chief Minister said that it is necessary to select at least one tourist destination in every assembly constituency and make an action plan for the development of infrastructure there. This will not only boost religious tourism but also boost local employment and economy. The development plans on the holy land of Raja Mahendra Pratap Singh, freedom fighters and saint-parampara should not be limited only to infrastructure, but should also become a medium of regional identity and cultural consciousness. He said that there is no dearth of funds for development works, only time bound and quality implementation is required.
CM Yogi directed the Public Works Department to start work on all proposals related to roads, bridges, overbridges, access roads to religious places and roads to martyr villages as per priority. Along with this, the work of connecting district headquarters with 4 lanes and block headquarters with 2 lanes should also be completed expeditiously.
3 The CM Yogi directed the Urban Development Department that before the proposal of every project, the concerned MLA or public representative must be consulted, so that the projects can be in line with the regional needs and become public interest.
No laxity or negligence in development works will be tolerated. Every work should be fair, quality and people-centric.
After the review meeting, the Chief Minister planted a sapling of Rudraksha in the Collectorate premises.
In the meeting, the public representatives apprised CM Yogi of the works related to the needs of the people. Principal Secretary Public Works Department Ajay Chauhan informed the Chief Minister that 1,248 development works worth Rs 4,771 crore have been proposed by the people’s representatives from 17 Vidhan Sabhas of Aligarh, Kasganj, Etah and Hathras districts falling under Aligarh division. These include roads, bridges, bypasses, state highways, overhead bridges, missing links, development of religious and mythological sites, connecting block and district headquarters.
Prominent amongst others who were present on the occasion included Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Basic Education Sandeep Singh, Principal Secretary Urban Development Amrit Abhijat, Principal Secretary Tourism Mukesh Kumar Meshram and senior officers of the administration.
